Detailed Reviews
Heavenly stay, our children had a spacious room with two single beds which felt like they were in the Harry Potter common room. It was so cosy and comfortable for them. The bathrooms both had underfloor heating and we all loved the eco temperature control showers.
Breakfast was delicious, always someone friendly and helpful on reception desk too.
We also enjoyed the outdoor heated pool, powerful steam room and sauna which had a cool window to the pool.
The complimentary robes,
towels, changing areas and slippers all made the spa trips easy.
The interconnecting rooms were fabulous and the corridors quiet. I’m a light sleeper and with dogs nearby on our floor I didn’t hear them bark once.

The decor in the lobby and the rooms was really interesting and fun. Our room was smallish but workable because of the lovely common area on our floor. The common area had three couches and three high-top tables with chairs. A wet bar, an honor bar and an ice machine. Our room on the side street on the 4th floor was super quiet. The staff was helpful. No A/C (typical in Copenhagen) but the windows opened, and the ceiling fan helped. The breakfast was good with some gluten-free and lactose free options. Street parking was available and easy (but not cheap). The location wasn't ideal but the taxi service in the city is very efficient (no Uber in Copenhagen). The restaurant dinner options were limited and didn't offer many gluten-free choices, so we chose not to eat there. The sauna and pool were nice but after a long day of walking, we wished there was a jacuzzi. The hotel has a lovely spa like feel with everyone walking around in funky fun robes for the pool.

This brand new hotel is awesome. Location is very close to both the Metro and city center and the lively Islands Brygge.
Beds are made up of four layers of mattresses and the room are extremely quiet – I slept like a baby. The breakfast is to die for and the showers are recycling your water. Such a great idea. The entire place is beautifully decorated like all other Guldsmeden hotels.
You will definately love to stay here

Nice design and warm welcome, but...
đź‘Ž We stayed in room 125, which is near the cleaning room - Hence, noisy in the very early morning as the staff started working (on a Saturday/Sunday). That surprised me because I specified in my booking that we were celebrating our first anniversary and a cosy room within the price range would be most appreciated.
đź‘Ž Before confirming the stay, I personally sent an email to the hotel asking about the temperature of the pool this time of the year. Although they guaranteed the pool is heated up to around 30 degrees, I hardly believe it reached above 20 degrees. No guests lasted more than 3 minutes in the water.
đź‘Ž When we left, the personnel didn't ask if we had a good stay or initiated any small talk with us despite nobody was queuing after us. I expected a closer treatment considering the cost of the sleepover.

Dear Guest, I am deeply sorry, that your stay did not meet your expectations. Room 125 is considered one of our most quiet rooms, which is why you were assigned this. However I am sad to hear that you got bothered by the cleaning depot. We have already made sure, that this issue will not reoccur. Since the pool is located outside, we are unfortunately not able to heat it up until 30 degrees due to our sustainable profile. We keep it heated to approximately 20 degrees, so I believe that it has been an honest typing error in the email we sent you. But of course I fully understand your disappointment, when you expected the pool to be 30 degrees. Guest service is our highest priority here at Bryggen Guldsmeden, I am therefore deeply sad to hear, that you did not find our staff caring. We always try to do our very best to make our guests feel welcome and appreciated. I still hope, that we can welcome you again in the future. The best wishes Front Office Manager, Bryggen Guldsmeden

Our stay at Bryggen Guldsmeden was absolutely lovely. After a long trip we sat down for coffee and were welcomed and served even before we actually checked in. The interior is warm and eclectic, cosy and sustainable. The rooms are absolutely lovely, albeit poorly lit (exept the bathroom). The beds are comfortable and the windows can be opened. The shower recycles water and the soap products are truly lovely. Instead of a minibar inside the room, every floor had a pantry with snacks, (alcoholic) drinks, cups and glasses, etc. One can fill out a form provided to make note of your consumptions to turn over during check out. All in good faith, which we love. We will definitely return here. (why do the extra questions include whether the staff speak Bulgarian, Finnish or Filipino??? They all speak English (and Danish). Any other language is a bonus but not essential. Weird)

This is a beautiful hotel and I got there thanks to the recomendation of a local. Although it is not directly downtown the location is near the center only two stations with the metro. The interior of the hotel is beautiful and different, love the eco components. The hotel has a beautiful garden and a sauna, a perfect location for a relax weekend and excellent for families with kids. The most amazing feature of the hotel is the amazing, super friendly staff that makes you feel in heaven. Complications are moved away like nothing by the receptionist and you truely feel at home. A must if you stay in Copenhagen.

This hotel is certainly different from what I was expecting, there is a great heated outdoor pool and surrounding area, the gym is nice size with some great kit and the breakfasts were very good. The room itself was a good size, four poster bed with a fan light installed and opening windows - This is in lieu of air conditioning and is to limit the carbon impact. Overall impressed with the quality of the accommodation, the friendly staff and at a good price for Copenhagen.

This is definitely the hotel we have experienced the best atmosphere from many perspectives: very chill, always good music, very kind people, good food, cosy rooms (a bit small but you easily adapt to that).
Also excellent to use the water generation system of the shower. You save 7-10 liters of water per shower. We recommend this hotel for young, less young and families.
Congratulations to the management and the whole team.

Interiors and architecture are amazing. We had stayed at another hotel belonging to the same chain, and felt so well with the style. Very friendly service as well.
The restaurant offers a very limited menu, but it is about reducing waste, a part of the sustainability vision of the hotel. The breakfast is very qualitative. We did not try the outdoor pool, it looked quite inviting.
The hotel is on the same side as Christiania, it takes some 40-45 minutes to walk to Nihaven or Ströget, only 10 to the DR concert hall. No doubt excellent even if related to the price.

This is a beautiful hotel with lots of nice design touches. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room again is well designed with 4 poster beds and exposed brickwork. Breakfast was good, lots of options- amazing scrambled eggs. The pool area is lovely and the sauna and steam room will be great in the colder months.
there were a few misses:
The rooms don't have air conditioning and the hotel was really quite hot- we had to keep the bedroom balcony doors open- but in the evening there is quite a bit of noise from people drinking in the courtyard below and in the morning there is a kindergarten/nursey next to the hotel so we were woken up every morning by noisy kids at 7:30am.
there are no pool attendants so you have to queue up in reception to ask for a pool towel and when we got to the pool in the evening it was quite untidy with lots of empty glasses and rubbish from previous guests.
we went during school holidays and there were a lot of children especially in the pool- so whilst it might look tranquil in the photos it certainly isn't during school holidays!
There is a communal kitchen on each floor to make tea/coffee, get snacks, use fridge. I have to say it did feel like a youth hostel- queuing up in my PJs in the early morning to make a coffee.
