Villa Copenhagen has garnered acclaim for its impeccable cleanliness and stylish ambiance, with guests consistently lauding the pristine rooms and chic common areas. Many visitors are drawn to its enviable location near key attractions and transport hubs, perfect for both sightseeing and business travel. The service at Villa Copenhagen is often described as attentive and professional, though a few guests have encountered sporadic lapses.
While the rooms are noted to be compact, they are generally well-received for their tasteful decor and comfort. The hotel's amenities, including the much-celebrated rooftop pool and sauna, enhance the overall luxury experience, offering good value despite some concerns about room size and amenities.

Hotel's Favourite
The most amazing stay in Copenhagen, I’d never go anywhere else! The interiors are beautiful, bed extremely comfy, pillows the perfect firmness, great location right outside the station, easily accessible to all tourist spots and staff very friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed! Big shout out to Juan who went over and above to make our stay extra special.

Stayed here 8 nights in August 2020.
Had booked a standard room, but asked for a room with a desk at check-in and was granted an upgrade, though not sure to what room category exactly.
As the hotel hadn't been open that long, they seemed to have some operational issues. However, upon emailing them about this, a very generous service recovery was offered, which shows that they are willing to go the extra length to ensure that all their guests are satisfied.
The beds were extremely comfortable and we the TVs were large. Toiletries were good and I am sure a lot of environmentally conscious guests would appreciate the bulk containers.
The fitness room is just adequate for a short stay.
Regarding breakfast, the quality was nice, but I must admit that the spread was a but lacking when it came to the variety of fruit and hot dishes. Some similarly priced hotels in Copenhagen offer a larger spread, which is important when staying more than a couple of nights.
However, I would still strongly recommend this hotel, due to the style and service of the hotel. Staff seemed to be motivated and therefore more service minded than what I have experienced at other hotels in Copenhagen.

This new hotel is really amazing in so many ways.
Like so many other we had been waiting for a long time to test the hotel & we decided to take the family for a 3 days stay in Copenhagen.
Some reviews have focused on relatively minor teething problems, but we had a feeling of being in a very different space than usual in a hotel.
The staff, everyone, we're clearly excellently trained & went all the way to make stay a superb one.
The breakfast is one of the nicest we've had for a long time....and we had a lot. Not because of the enormous selection, but rather because the bread was baked to excellence right in front of us & the salmon omelettes were done well & quickly while everything offered was high standard & just what we needed to start the day.
We used the gym every morning & the machines are of really high quality & both my daughter & I truly enjoyed them.
The quiet (& slightly hidden) lounge area we used to play backgammon & chess in the evenings. The furnishing was cozy & homely, while of really high quality.
Although the rooms are small they're excellently designed, with really good beds etc.
The soaps were so good that we felt like buying the same brand to take home.
For the future I would probably recommend a time where the swimming pool could be only for adults & only for swimming, however, this is really minor.
Thanks again & see you soon..😁🇩🇰

I stayed 6 nights in this recently opened premium hotel. The experience could have been better but I also understand that there can be hiccups with brand new premises.
After check-in and receiving my key card, I was not able to enter to my room as the electronic lock wasn't working. With the help of one of the receptionists and third key card, we finally were able to open the door. The staff also promised that they will get some engineer to check the lock. Rest of my stay the room door's lock was functional but with other doors the key card didn't work (e.g. gym).
The room itself was of course really clean and nicely equipped with super-comfortable bed. Only negative thing was that the television channels didn't work all the time.
The roof terrace with pool is really nice but quite small for a hotel with 390 rooms. And it wasn't really a place to relax. Almost every time I visited there were lots of kids playing around, jumping into the pool (not allowed according to the rules on the wall) and splashing water. Noise cancelling headphones were truly needed. Maybe it could be wise to specify separate "playing hours" for young guests.
Another unpleasant surprise was the fire alarm on Sunday morning around 8am. Everyone of course had to leave their rooms and gather outside to the streets. After 30 minutes of standing in the cold with few clothes, people started going inside and back to their rooms. Not the best wakeup after a long previous evening but luckily it was a false alarm.
All the staff members I discussed with during my stay were extremely friendly and polite and did their best to help guests. Also the old fully-renovated hotel building is really gorgeous. Location next to the central railway station is superb.
Anyway, when choosing a 5 star hotel and paying a quite of lot money, you would expect a bit more from your stay and that the things work. I could give another try for Villa Copenhagen but on this first experience my review is only 3 stars due to issues mentioned above.

Dear Jouni K First of all: Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such usable feedback. This is the only way we get better, and what you experienced is of course not the way we want you to see Villa Copenhagen. My sincere apologies. I will give all your points to the right departments so that it can be fixed or otherwise handled. But also thank you so much for the kind words about the room and especially the staff - I will also pass on these praisings. Hope to see you at Villa next time you are in Copenhagen. We enjoyed a one night staycation as a couple in July 2020. Overall, hotel Villa is beautiful. Furniture is Scandi design at its best. Unfortunately, all the attention to the aesthetic detail seems to have been at the expense of service and functionality. Lots of little things didn’t seem to be working: the tv channels dropped in and out (and selection was poor and primarily Scandinavian languages), the access points that requires keys rarely worked and there was insufficient capacity in the breakfast buffet. Worst was the heavily advertised swimming pool. Total capacity of the pool area is only 50 people - there are only 4 lounge chairs. When we visited on a sunny day, 100 people were crammed into a much too small space with children EVERYWHERE. We were hoping to enjoy a cocktail in the sun poolside, but could only sit in the shade on the floor with the deafening sound of screaming children. Needless to say we retreated elsewhere.
In terms of danish standards, this is a top range hotel. By international standards though, it’s beauty is not enough to raise it from mediocrity.

I visited this property at the beginning of July, after waiting for some time on how the property will look after their opening.
We decided to book for a weekend get away and celebrate our first anniversary. However, things did not go really as planned.
First upon arrival, there was a huge waiting since apparently the system was down. We arrived at 5pm, and check in was allowed from 3pm. We finally got the room key like 7pm and after some free drinks In the bar, but at that point we just wanted to get our room and get ready for our dinner outside. However, we had to cancel this since we where supposed to be at the restaurant at 7pm.
Then we decided to give a try to the restaurant since we were tired and exhausted. But that was also a mistake.
They had run out of some drinks and starters. Food took a very long time to arrive to table. Team members were not trained and we could feel that there was some tension and no control on the situation.
Back to the room. Rooms are beautifully decorated and good space, a little too small but this is normally how Scandinavian hotels are mostly. Luckily we did not travel with loads of luggage.
Common areas are great and very well decorated in this old post building.
The following day we also experience shortage on Housekeeping cleaning since our room was never done when we came back in the afternoon.
Over all, great location and beautiful hotel, but the whole charm got destroyed by the service. I understand that it was a busy weekend which maybe a soft opening might have helped. Team members might need more training on how to get away of the Scandinavian service and put the extra mile pin.

Stayed at The Villa for one night on an interrailing trip. It’s right next to the station so a perfect location for that, however if you have a room overlooking the tracks and don’t like noise you’ll be disappointed.
Some positives - it’s beautiful, very stylish with a very cool scandi vibe. It’s obvious that a lot of thought has gone in to the aesthetic of the public spaces and the building has been sympathetically restored. The reception staff were initially helpful and we stored bags until check in as we were early.
Some negatives - we booked a deluxe room and paid extra for an early check in at 1pm as we knew we would be early and after travelling a long while wanted to relax. After returning at 1pm, our room was still not ready however we were told we were being upgraded to a ‘Shalamba’ room. Great. This room was, again, beautiful but the smallest and least practical room I’ve ever had. Perfect for one but for two people you could hardly move round the bed, storage was limited and the bathroom had no storage or shelving for anything, including their own towels. I returned to reception to query this ‘upgrade’ to be told yes that’s right, the ‘Shalamba’ is an upgrade as it has nicer fittings. I commented that we had booked a deluxe room as we wanted more space but was told that nothing was available and we should return at 3pm to see if anything was. After reminding them that we had paid extra to check in early she said there was nothing they could do. After many hours travelling I couldn’t be bothered to argue so returned to the tiny room and made the most of it. A real shame that we couldn’t get what we paid for and the staff were dismissive of the situation.
If you like style and nice fittings over practicality this is the hotel for you but for space, practicality and common sense, possibly not.

The hotel is in a good location but gets quite busy, like you have to book pool time and you get 45 min. The room is small but the bathroom is nice (Soho House vibes). We booked a Deluxe Double Room (#3155) and expected a spacious room with a seating area. But no. When we asked, the hotel said that none of the Deluxe Rooms have seating, despite the website specifically saying that Double Rooms have "Lounge chair-sitting area". We specifically booked that room category for the seating area so we didn't appreciate the false advertising. They also do not provide complimentary bottled water and insist that it's for environmental reasons. We stayed here for one night after staying at the Nimb Hotel (which was superb) for 4 nights, so we kept comparing it to the Nimb. Villa Copenhagen is half the price of Nimb though, so if you don't mind a busier hotel then this is a good choice.

Dear TeMinka, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review regarding your stay in Villa Copenhagen. Great to hear that you liked the location of the hotel that is close to all the attractions in the city by walk. Our hotel gives all guests the opportunity to enjoy the outlets and for this reason everyone has 45 minutes a day to spend at the pool. If you want to stay longer, there is certainly the option with a minimum payment. I would also like to refer to your room that you booked (Deluxe category). These rooms are the only ones with a bathtub and most have a sitting area. I wish you had told us that this is your main preference because we would do our best to accommodate you with this request. The same applies to the bottled water you mentioned. Copenhagen is one of the few cities that has drinking tap water. For this reason and for sustainability, we do not put bottles of water in the rooms, although you have a complete set for water in every room. At the guests' request, of course, we have the option of delivering bottles of water. I repeat again, I wish you had asked us and talked to us, our team would not hesitate to make your stay memorable. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you want to share any other information and again, thank you for the review! Kind regards, Emina Adilovic Assistant Guest Relation Manager Villa Copenhagen

Pool is amazing, perfect temp and very stylish. Only nit is most of the seats are in the sun, only a few umbrellas but tables 22 and 23 (in the back) are shaded. Staff is generally good, the best (by a large margin) is Thomas from NY, one of the best hotel staff I’ve encountered in years of travel. Breakfast room is massive, like a resort, the croissants and other baked goods in particular are to die for. The hotel is VERY large, so some rooms have very long walks, I’d ask for a Tivoli view room next time for a short walk and the best view. The long walks are also next to the construction - make sure to ask for a room not facing the construction (an office building is rising next door). Also the windows are full double windows so zero street noise. Hotel has very nice AC. Food in lobby restaurant is good to very good, not amazing but definitely good, the coffee in the lobby is spectacular. Rooms are a bit small, showers are stellar, provided shampoo and creams are fantastic, smell like the best sort of pine tree. Location is a bit of a walk from the best sights but very nice for Vesterbro.

Do not stay at this hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed here one night. We were greated kindly at check in which was the only positive thing to happen. Our room was tiny and you couldn’t even open your suitcase in it. The room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned either and there were stains in the bathroom. We only stayed here because I heard about their rooftop pool which turned out to just be a big fat joke. The rooftop was PACKED with people on a weekday midday. Some of the people were obviously not guests of the hotel. There was nowhere to properly sit and the one sandwich with fries we ordered took 35 min to arrive. Now for the WORST PART. We put all our valuables in a locker right before entering the pool area and when we returned the locker would not open. I then went to the bar area and asked them to get someone to help us open our locker. 10-15 minutes pass and no sight of anyone to help us! I end up asking 3 times and the bar seemed too busy to help or go get someone. I end up running down to reception in my swimwear!! after having waited around 30-40 min!! When someone finally came they just said “it’s so annoying this happens all the time” which is even worse. I told them that we would miss our dinner reservation and the staff did not seem to care.
Oh and forget about getting to your room easily - it’s literally a maze and I ended up in the basement with construction because you can’t access anything without your key card.
