AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen offers a modern atmosphere praised for its spaciousness and striking lobby. While the service has received mixed feedback, ranging from commendable to disappointing, cleanliness standards are generally high, with well-kept rooms and facilities. The location garners divided opinions, with its proximity to the airport being convenient for some, but others find it less ideal for accessing the city center. Guests have enjoyed the modern comfort of the rooms, although some have encountered maintenance issues. Amenities are appreciated, yet the value proposition is often questioned due to unexpected fees and high service charges.

The hotel is close to the metro so very easy to get into the city centre. Also has a shuttle bus from the airport.
Spa/pool costs hotel guests DKK150 per day.

We were asked if we would like a city facing room for an additional Cost per night, but we chose not too. The room we were given was in floor 18 of tower 1. The view was of the rooms in tower 2! It was a good size, clean and modern, laminate flooring, crisp decor, really really nice and smelt glorious, however, it was right next to the lift, which was very noisy, so we asked to move. We got another room in the 17th floor of tower 2. The room looked dated and tired, with slightly worn carpet. It was the same size and had the same layout, but had clearly been smoked in, the smell lingered, that sort of stale smoke smell that you get. The smell was strongest in the bathroom/hallway; there was actually cigarette ash in the sink overflow. The toilet also had a pee splash to the left of the seat. It was late and we were tired so moving rooms for another time just didn’t seem a great appeal, probably, in hindsight we should’ve.

However the room was comfortable, 2 cosy feather single duvets on the double bed, spare pillows in tv e wardrobe. Massive shower!
Instant coffee, tea bags and creamer powder with paper cups and wooden stirrers.. didn’t seem too eco.

Breakfast (DKK180 / £21) had a really great choice, great fun using the cheese wires, lots of coffee & tea choices, cold meats, breads, pastries, fruits, yogurts and cooked options. Also a great selection of ‘free from’ goods, including lactose free milk & yogurt which was a great treat.

Bar on floor 23 is a bit pricey (DKK250 / £30 for a single g&t and a small (125ml) glass of wine), but had a nice atmosphere.

Basalt restaurant on floor 1 served good food, but again a little on the pricey side, even for hotel restaurants (DKK225 / £27 for a burger with potatoes, not chips, but very yummy!)

Overall our stay was good.

We loved our stay at the AC Hotel Copenhagen. The rooms were beautiful, modern and traditional Scandinavian style. We arrived late in the evening and the staff were so friendly and helpful, even upgrading our room to a higher floor for us free of charge. The view from the room was simply fantastic. The bed was extremely comfy and the amenities in the room were great. The bathroom was large with a lovely shower.

The breakfast in the hotel was absolutely amazing. There was a huge choice of cooked breakfast, pastries, selection of meats and cheeses and cereal and toast. There was all types of hot drinks and juices to choose from.

The hotel although it is not in the centre of Copenhagen, it has excellent links to the metro, and you can get into the city within about fifteen minutes. We bought a 72 hour metro city pass. It cost us £22, however we didn't think this was too bad as we most certainly got our money's worth as there was so much to see and do.

I can't thank this hotel enough for making our stay as great as it was! We would definitely love to come back the next time we are in Copenhagen!

Be careful with this hotel on Sunday’s.

All the restaurants are closed for dinner. The bar on ground floor has a burger, fish & chips or salmon pasta for entrees, that’s it. Same menu for room service.

Served Best Western style.

Order at the bar, they give you a paper sleeve with a fork and a napkin then they drop it off once ready, which is quick.

Rooms are clean / efficiently designed but really small.

Personally I was disappointed since this is a #Marriott property and brand. Insult to injury my assistant booked room through 3rd party so not even credit for the stay!

Oh well 1st world problems.

Overall it is a beautiful hotel. We booked a mini suite on a corner with a nice view. We were a little disappointed that our room didn’t have a bath, that’s not very common for this type of room. That was the main issue, but here are a few pros and cons:

Pro:
Very spacious room and hotel
Nice view with big windows.
Nearby metro with direct line to the center
Very nice breakfast
Excellent equipment in the gym

Cons:
Way too few power outlets in the room. In a modern hotel you would have expected more.
Bed was too soft and there was no good choice in more firm pillows
Quite ridiculous that you have to pay extra for use of the pool and spa. 20 euro’s per person for 1 functioning sauna, two small hot pools and an ice water mini pool is absurd
No bath

The first thing one notices about the hotel is the distinctive architecture. The location is fantastic as well - close to the metro station and about half way between Kastrup airport and the city centre. The rooms and hotel itself are very clean, but the rooms are quite small for a non-CBD location - if you have a large suitcase you would have difficulty opening it.

The staff are friendly and attentive, and their English is excellent. I would be able to say they are perfect if for one of the bar staff who could not care less whether we needed an English menu or not, who was having which dish, and could not even be bothered walking from the middle of the bar to the end with the card machine and motioned us by hand to go to him.

Overall, would definitely stay here again for future visits to Copenhagen, though I may give the lobby bar and cafe a wider berth.

This is a large Marriott hotel attached to the Bella Convention Center.
The location, depending on how you view it is either perfect (right by the Center) or poor (not walkable to either the City Center or many restaurants/things to do). On the plus side, the hotel is very close to the airport.

The hotel design is very sleek, with two towers, connected at the first floor and then at the roof top level.

Rooms are on the smaller side (not tiny, but a bit of a squeeze if it's more than one person) but there is not not a lot of space to store stuff, hang clothes etc. There's a safe and a fridge in the room. While the staff were largely very friendly and helpful, where the hotel fell short, unfortunately, was in the haphazardness of the housekeeping. Toiletries were not replenished, there were stains on the pillows and sheets that were neither cleaned, nor changed; housekeeping showed up at inconvenient times and scoffed if you wanted them to wait a few minutes. Again, not deal breakers, and this could be a one-off experience.

Finally we ate at the restaurant at the hotel (Basalt) twice. A tad over priced, but food was excellent. The breakfast was also scrumptious.

The raison d'etre to stay at this hotel is its proximity to the Bella Convention Center (assuming you need to be there), and the modern, sleek design.
Otherwise, as a tourist, more conveniently located hotels would be preferable.

I have never stayed at an AC Hotel so don't have anything to reference it to. However, I am an Ambassador Level member of Marriott and am familiar with their overall standards. The most important thing I look for is cleanliness and the hotel was spotless. My room had everything you'd expect - tea kettle, iron with board, hair dryer, etc. Since I checked in online, all I had to do was how my ID to get my room key. The front desk was very helpful and the few special requests I had were promptly attended to. The fitness center was large and well equipped. The indoor pool is part of a Spa which was closed at the time. I assume you have to pay to use it since the sign specified that you had to show a receipt. The metro is one block away for a quick ride into Stockholm and busses stop right at the corner. The airport is a 10-15 minute taxi ride.

Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments. Our room lacked facial tissue which every level of Marriott provides as a standard amenity. Despite staying in a suite, there was no bathrobe. The hotel is situated in two separate towers so you often have to switch elevators and crossover to the other tower. These are minor compared to the otherwise excellent service.

Great room, very modern, spacious and clean. It had the most amazing bathroom/toilet - just wood and glass. It is very close to the airport and it is very easy to go to the city centre by the train, which is frequent and it is 24/7. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of goods to eat and drink. The service was very good too.

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the room décor and design, we are indeed a very Scandinavian hotel and it is a pleasure to hear that it suited your taste. Furthermore it is great to hear that the location of the hotel resulted in an easy access to the city center of Copenhagen. It is not a recommended hotel for independent tourists: it is in fact a hotel - connected to a large convention center - far from the center and located in an area where there is absolutely nothing (no restaurants, shops, supermarkets ...).
The station of the M1 subway line is more than half a kilometer away (inconvenient with luggage or in case of rain).
The hotel restaurants are excessively expensive and the "shop and go" sells only a few things at exorbitant prices.
At first glance, given the original architectural structure, it might look like a modern and elegant hotel but after exiting the elevator into a narrow corridor with poor and worn carpet, you change your mind: it's just a budget hotel for attendees of the congresses (and for tourist groups during the summer).
Small rooms, small toilets, curtains that do not allow darkening (also due to the inclined pillars) and consequently guarantee an awakening at 5 in the morning ....
Room cleaning is approximate, toilet amenities are reduced (compared to the standard set of European AC hotels) and every day you are forced to ask the reception what is missing (shampoo today, toilet paper tomorrow ... and so on) .
The presence of an unused bottle of sanitizer on the table (at the time of the Covid pandemic) seems sufficient to exempt the waiters from cleaning the tables and placemats between one diner and another.
In conclusion: only masochists could decide to go back.
