This hotel is a perfect example of pre-war architectural functionalism, for those interested in building design. Amazing structural design, and even with the train station so close, we rarely felt vibrations or heard sounds from the trains. Right in the heart of København, next to Tivoli Gardens, the Glyptoteket, National Museum of DK, etc, etc. However, left with one question...

Hi, Thank you so so much for this kind review. I have looked everywhere and finally found out about the stone picture on the front of the house. It is supposed to be the story of the flying suitcase, in Danish: ”Den flyvende kuffert” which is a famous story by H. C. Andersen. It is created by Svend Rathsack. Hope...

We rented a junior suite. We expected a table and at least 2 chairs. There were only one and a very small desk. The first day the cleaners did not leave fill up of coffe and shower soap. Everything look very tired. Not at all what you expect paying more than 300 euros pr. night.

Hi, Thank you for your review but I think I answered your review already made on the 17th of April. All our junior suites have one desk and one table, and when you called for one more chair this was brought up to you straight away. There is also a seating area that can be used for relaxing or drinking...

We had an amazing time! The staff was friendly and helpful, the location is amazing and the breakfast was great. The rooms were very clean (I'm picky about that) and we had a nice view. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Copenhagen!

The Astoria looks unattractive from the outside, concrete bunker would best describe the style. As other reviewers have said it is right next to the central station which is 3 stops from the airport (trains from airport are amazing, frequent, quick, clean and easy to navigate). The trains run below pedestrian level and are electric so while there are noises...

It is quite well located but we have to admit that it is way too expensive for the quality. The room are old fashioned, not that clean and it is really noisy. Beds not really comfortable. The only thing which is quite appreciable is the serive. People are quite cool... But that's it... Ah... the location is not bad... What...

Hi, thank you for staying with us. Yes, we are so centrally located that we cannot offer quiet rooms. Especially with the Central Station of Copenhagen as our neighbor. We have a bit more quiet hotel 10 min from the hotel called - Avenue Hotel. Beautiful 3+* boutique hotel with a lovely atmosphere. I wish you a happy Easter.

Hi, thank you so much for this review. I am pleased to see you enjoyed your stay with us. We are actually in the city centre, so all the sights are within 15 min of walk. The Little Mermaid, she is a bit further away.. But everything else is very close to us. Hope to see you back soon.

Fantastic location close to station. Has ties with Italian restaurant next door and they do room service. Ishmael was so very helpful and is accredit to the hotel but the rooms are old, dark, dated but if you want a central hotel that you mainly sleep in this is the one for you

We chose the Hotel Astoria as it was close to the station and got a great deal with breakfast included. Between breakfast, the marvellous free wine hour and free coffee to take away in the morning, it really helped make our stay even better. Recently booked for a 2 night trip for my boyfriend's birthday. He was turning 25 so I figured I'd treat him to a short stay in Copenhagen. Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Astoria is located as a large train in extension to Copenhagen's Central Station. It is positioned very central in a living area with a short distance to the metropolitan areas in the Meetpacker Destrict and Copenhagen Center. There are approximately 100 meters to Tivoli and the City Hall Square is right around the corner. The airport is only a 12 minutes ride away. The hotel is a 3-star hotel built in 1934 in the functionalist style typical for the architectural era and is therefore popular among people interested in architecture. We have kept many of the original parts inside the hotel.
