I stayed one night at Ibsen's Hotel. The location is excellent -- convenient to transportation, shops, restaurants. The art pieces on display are quirky and appealing and the staff is gracious and efficient. I also enjoyed the organic breakfast. The only problem -- and it is not a minor problem -- is the lack of soundproofing. Noises from adjoining rooms...

I booked the Ibsens Hotel following reading previous reviews. On our first night we were given a tiny room on the second floor. You could not have taken a shower the bathroom was so small. I went to reception & was advised we would be moved the following morning as we had paid extra for the larger room. The receptionist...

The room was nice and clean. Comfy beds. Strangely unequipped, though. No wardrobes or cupboards. The breakfast was excellent if you are interested in healthy choices (and probably if you are not, too!). The "cosy hour" thing with a free drink every night at five o'clock is a nice twist. Really annoying, however, was them charging a penalty fee when...

Thank you very much for reviewing us. Our design style is Scandinavian, local and with great designer among the furnishing. If you like Scandinavian minimalism and designers like for instance Bønnelycke, Hans Wegner, Walter Knoll, Pearson Lloyd and the Danish design company Hay, you will also like Ibsens Hotel. Thank you for mentioning our breakfast. It’s so nice to know...

We recently took Rick Steve's advice and booked a 3 night stay at the Ibsen's Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was right, the hotel staff was welcoming, the room clean and ample and the location was perfect for walking and very quiet at night. Mette greeted us our first evening and identified a large room that met our needs perfectly....

We had a family room in the tower and loved it. For a European or Scandinavian room, it was quite roomy, and the three windows were great for really getting the feel of being in the city. Friday and Saturday nights were quite noisy on the street--for some reason people truly yell out at that intersection. Lots of earplugs provided,...

We love feedback, whether it be positive or negative. We are glad you enjoyed staying in one of our nice corner suites. They have a lovely city view just like you mention. When living in a big city you will have to accept that noise is part of everyday life. However you can't say that our neighborhood is one of...

We have just had the most delightful 5 nights here on a long-awaited trip to Copenhagen (having lived here until some years ago). The rooms are not the most luxurious in the world and our bathroom was a bit chilly. What makes it is the wonderful staff - efficient, welcoming, engaged. They would always remember where we had said we...

In September a friend & I stayed 6 nights at this hotel. Great location barely 10 minute walk from Metro (to/from airport) or S-tog station (to/from Oslo overnight ferry), Staff very friendly & helpful, Top floor extra large twin bed room clean, bright & comfortable, bathroom good size, breakfast very good & having "cozy hour" (complimentary glass of wine/beer) each...

Best things about this hotel are: - location. Right near the beautiful and trendy centre. Close to the food market. - lovely lounges and coffee areas. - quirky and local character. - good service. Some bits you should know: - rooms are small - rooms were a bit cold until you put on the extra oil heater - bathroom is...

Thank you very much for reviewing us! I am so sorry to read you found your room cold. This is absolutely not intended. We are used to cold degrees at our latitudes and have a heating system which should be able to handle cold down to minus 25 degrees Celcius or more. I hope you told reception. They would help...

We stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms are rather small and basic for the price we paid but I heard that's a common thing in Copenhagen. The reception is very cosy to have a drink. The breakfast is also rather expensive (+-20€) but you get high quality and healthy food. I would recommend to eat here only once because...

Thank you for reviewing us! A Medium room is equivalent to an economy double and quite a small room. It's perfect for one person, and for 2 people who like to sleep tight. The bed is 140 cm. Please look at our website for accurate room descriptions. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and in Copenhagen. As...
