The University of Copenhagen put the two of us up in this delightful, well-located hotel for a single night. The staff are exceptionally cordial and aim to help guests whatever way they can; very generous with their attention. The breakfast buffet is terrific. The room we had was comfortable, though small. Travelers with more than two carry-on bags may find the room too cramped. As the University paid for the room, I cannot offer comment on the value. I happily recommend Ibsens Hotel to couples on a short stay in Copenhagen.

I recently spent two nights in Copenhagen at the Ibsens Hotel. I am happy to report that it was a great choice. The hotel was in a great location and easy to access by Metro. The room was small (as I expected) but it was extremely comfortable, clean and perfect for my needs. The best thing about Ibsens Hotel is the staff. I want to say thank you in particular to Casper and Fanek at reception. They were both very helpful, friendly, and kind. I would definitely return to the Ibsens Hotel.

We had a very good stay at Ibsens Hotel. Everything was clean and the staff was helpful and nice. We would come back if we are again in Copenhagen. The Bike we rented were also very good and it was easier to get arround the city.

A small room was a perfect size for me as a solo traveller, very comfortable bed, good shower, and great wifi. The location is fantastic, far enough from the main attractions to be quiet, but close enough that everything is walkable. Only downside was being able to hear every conversation in the hallway and adjoining rooms but as I was out most of the day this was a minor issue. I'd stay at Ibsens again without hesitation.

Arty, frugal, clean, cosy and elegant. I loved this hotel, the service and the furniture. The bathroom is a tiny and traditional (according to the description), so if you like big showers, this hotel is not for you.

The proprietor, desk staff, wait staff, hotel staff and cleaning staff were all exemplary. My daughter and I arrived ill from Norway. I needed a doctor. During the doctor’s visit, chaos ensued when a fire alarm started. Everyone was trying to evacuate quickly down the stairs. I had and still have pneumonia a couple days later. My daughter became distraught not knowing where or how I was. The staff comforted her and came to get me. The doctor wrote up the prescriptions, but I had no way to get them. The proprietor HERSELF instructed someone from her staff to pick up the medicine at the pharmacy and bring it to me. She said I could reimburse her later, and brought me and my daughter tea. A little later, her sweet employee arrived with a tray containing my medications she had picked up, a carafe of water and glasses to take my medicine. Also, as everything was written in Danish, she wrote out for me on sticky notes what each said in English! The kindness and compassion was overwhelming. Later that evening when I asked for a late checkout, the reception staff said he had tried calling me earlier and wondered how I was. Of course my late check out was accepted by these most accommodating hosts. The next morning I paid the bill plus the medication charges, and expressed my sincere gratitude to the staff for their willingness to go above and beyond. They called me a cab, and brought water for us while we waited. This hotel single-handedly turned a potentially catastrophic situation into something manageable, and as pleasant as possible. I have visited Copenhagen before, but from here on out, I can guarantee I will ONLY be staying at Ibsen’s Hotel. It’s an experience I will carry with me always, and am eager to return to this most hospitable, charming, welcoming, kind and compassionate hotel. …

We loved this hotel! Staff were particularly helpful and competent. Great location. Near Metro and walkable to most destinations. There are good restaurants on either side of the hotel, one Italian, one Spanish. Lobby is attractive and welcoming, more like a living room. Free wine and beer between 5-6. Easy, pleasant walk around nearby lakes There are also interesting restaurants in Norrebro (across the lakes)

Very stylish modern hotel with a great vibe. The location is a bit loud - lots of Friday night partiers. The hotel kindly provides earplugs. Loved the robes and delicious bath products. The shower was amazing. Wish I could have stayed longer. I loved the outside courtyard

A stylish boutique hotel adjoining a luxury hotel, this was a good value and very attractive modern decor. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and made us feel at home; the location was very good (a great cafe, Kalleset, across the street was excellent, we went there every day!). You can do the impressive breakfast buffet and enjoy the ambience of the more expensive sister hotel, Hotel Kong Arthur, which is stunning - the two hotels are connected by a courtyard. The rooms were small, so I would opt for one of the more expensive rooms, if possible.
