We love hostels because of their communal feel and hotels because of their privacy. At CityHub, we combined the two: more than enough ways to mingle AND your very own, private cabin. We call those cabins Hubs. Each Hub has a giant, double bed, wifi, app-controlled lighting and a personal audio streaming system. Comfy, indeed.

Detailed Reviews
Amazing from start to finish. We checked in with minimal effort. Just scan the barcode from the app that I had already downloaded before getting to CPH and it finds your booking straight away. You choose a wristband in your fav colour (yellow, blue, pink or green) and scan it. It will ask you what room you want (top or bottom bed) and off you go!
I chose the bottom one and it was great. So close to the bathroom with the shared showers and the toilets but plenty of amenities and easy access to showers and towels etc all provided in the rooms as well as ritual products (shampoo and shower gel) in every shower.
Everything was super clean and tidy and the hubs are just the right size. I had plenty of room to move around and their are lockers in reception to use from the moment you check in to the moment you leave (up until you leave to go to the airport or just when you check out….how nice of them!)
The bar area is great too. Self serve - just scan your wristband and pour your drink. Over 2 nights I spent around 650DKK which is around 70GBP. Not that bad considering that included all my drinks for 2 days with coffee, alcohol and even a couple of bars of chocolate.
Now the best part - the staff. Anna was there when we checked in and was really welcoming, really helpful and so nice to us. She explained how stuff worked and what to expect and it was appreciated. I even used the app to message her when we wanted ideas for breakfast. 2 minutes later I got a reply with 3 suggestions to go to so that was great. Later on, we had Weronika. Just as friendly, just as helpful she was able to help us with a couple of issues we had (mainly self created) and didn’t moan or complain - just fixed it and made sure all was good again.
Honestly, this type of accommodation should be more widespread and is definitely the future for travel for me. Shame they only have 2 more in the Netherlands otherwise I would always stay in CityHubs all over the world!
I will return and spread the word and recommend people visit to all my friends

I've been to Copenhagen a couple of times and absolutely love the city.
Staying at CityHub was a whole new experience though, I've read about the concept in a magazine before but the actual experience was way better!
You are welcomed by a CityHost who can help you with great -local- tips of the city, there is a nice self service bar and even a Sauna!
The room is great (especially for the price), it is a bit tiny however it is perfect when doing a citytrip, you sleep in your hub (Very comfy bed) and when you wake up you can start consuming the city. Great concept, great vibe, good looks I'll definitely come back here.

I absolutely LOVED staying here! As advertised, this is the perfect combination of hostel and hotel. Normally, I am a hostel-goer to save money. While this wasn't the cheapest option in Copenhagen, it was very affordable considering how expensive the city is. I loved being able to have the privacy of a room while still feeling like I was sometimes in a hostel / larger community. It seemed many people came in groups / couples, so there wasn't much mingling in the common areas (or any events run by the place, common for hostels), but that was fine with me as I prefer to be mostly solo. I'm sure if you are a bit more outgoing and looking to connect with people, you could make it happen here.
With way more space than a traditional Japanese capsule hotel, I could unpack most of my stuff, hang my dresses, and comfortably sleep in a clean space. I downloaded the app to be able to change up the lights (which I had a lot of fun doing) and communicate with staff. The chat feature was actually way more helpful than I expected - I used it twice for recommendations while I was out in the city, and once to ask about ordering a taxi late at night when I was too lazy to walk all the way to the actual front desk. This place is VERY large, so walking to my hub actually took several minutes once inside!
I used the vending machines a few times without issue, and the bathrooms were always very clean. I also loved being able to connect through bluetooth to the speakers in the hub. Playing music is not something I'd ever do in a hostel, or even in a hotel, but it was so easy to connect to the hub that I ended up playing music every time I was in there!

Cityhub is a Dutch-owned franchise with cabin-style hotels in a number of locations. The one in Copenhagen is conveniently and centrally situated on a main thoroughfare (Vesterbrogade) and is well positioned with regards to all amenities. Showers and toilets are shared, cabin rooms are small and cosy and most importantly private. There will always be a little noise due to proximity of cabins to each other, but this was relatively sporadic and trivial. I had no trouble getting a good night's sleep. Good for budget (relatively speaking - this is Copenhagen after all) and recommended for short stays for couples and solos, either travelling for fun or business.

+1
As an 'older' couple we loved this place, were amazed by the facilities, great if you are on a budget especially with food and drink, as you can bring your own, store and eat on premises, towels, shampoo, body wash/lotion in bathroom so no need to pack those items when on a budget flight. Fantastic and cool alternative. 😎
Friendly staff and friendly guests.
And the bed was verry comfortable.
We struggled a bit with the technology side, checking in/out and bluetooth etc but we asked and kindly accepted help 😁

Really great. Go in with the mindset that you're going to a youth hostel.
There are shared bathrooms and a shared kitchen and foyer/ living space, but they are kept immaculate and are really trendy. Had the best shower here, the soap smells so nice and there is relaxing music playing in the bathrooms.
Didn't have time to check out the sauna but that looked nice too.
There are microwaves, fridges and a kettle so you can cook for yourself. The shared living space is a nice place to relax for an evening or to chill during the day.
The Hubs themselves are clean and a great experience. Hook up your phone to the hub to control the lights and even set a wake- up light!! I felt so safe here and so relaxed, it felt much better than a hotel, also the wristbands we have instead of room cards are a great idea and you use them to get in and out but also to buy food and drink.
The staff are really friendly and can help with any questions you have.

I loved the idea of a capsule hotel / hostel and was immediately very excited when I arrived. We chose an 'upper' bed as opposed to the bottom beds and I feel they were a bit more spacious for sleeping albeit you have to climb up and down. Overall I felt the rooms were decent and the bathroom amenities were nice, but there were a few things I didn't like as much.
PROs:
+ The bathrooms are really spacious and you get plenty of privacy. I never found myself waiting my turn and the facilities are pretty nice.
+ Location was great, lots of food and shops around and close enough to the metro. Also busses that go straight to central station right outside.
+ 'Hosts' at the front were very friendly and helpful
+ Wrist band key card made it very easy to get in and out and keep track of your key, plus worked for lockers for 24 hours after you finished your stay.
+ Not noisy at all and I was never bothered by noise when inside my room
CONs:
+ My main gripe is that the room was extremely hot. It was uncomfortable. It's centrally regulated and you had no choice. All you could do was get a fan or heater from the front, but the fan barely hit us in the night and made the air very dry. It was also super loud and made sleeping harder.
+ The lobby amenities seem nice but they weren't maintained. The self serve beer tap charged us and only poured half the pint. The wine tap charged us 4 times for one glass. The vending machine was out of service the whole time. We got our money back but it wasn't ideal.
+ Price was okay but definitely still on the high end considering there are some regular hotels you can get for a similar price. It's a lot more expensive than a hostel despite the shared toilets.
+ The bedsheets and pillows were a little dirty upon arrival. We got them replaced no problem.
+ Rooms can get a little cramped with two people trying to pack and change but this is part of the concept.

Amazing comfy rooms, bigger than we expected. The staff was really friendly and gave us a lot of good recommendations. All the shared spaces were always clean and spacious enough to never be crowded. I loved that they had the vending machines for drinks, snacks and even stuff like toothbrushes, tampons, deodorant etc. The key to the room and entrance came in the form of a bracelet which was handy. Extra + for the staff helping us out massively when we accidentally left a wallet at the hotel the day we left, they were really kind and went out of their way to send it to us via a taxi. Thanks a lot!!

Hands down one of the best places I've ever stayed. I travelled in December with friends for a one night trip before Christmas to do some sightseeing. It was my first time visiting Copenhagen and the City Hub was the perfect place to stay.
We had a 4 person room with its own bathroom which was great. It had bunk beds in it and if you're booking this room just beware the top bunks are very high off the ground!
Bathroom had everything we needed. Towels, soap and shampoo all included and the waterfall shower was great!
The main reception area is all self service which is a great concept. When you check in you get a wristband which allows you to access everything and is linked to your room so there are no payments to worry about during your stay. You can use the wristband to buy a drink from the bar and also rent secure storage lockers if you need to leave some luggage.
I couldn't fault it from start to finish. The staff were super friendly and had lots of great recommendations for places to go and things to do. I would 100% recommend city hub to anyone.

I've hesitated about trying out a hostel, but this one caught my interest as it didn't involve the bunk bed dormitory setup. Instead the sleeping area resembles a cross between a shipping terminal and a science lab, very clean, modern and quiet. The sleeping space is well designed. A double sized bed and enough space for suitcases and places to hang your clothes. The bed was fairly comfortable even though head room was limited, but adequate. Neat colored lighting, and electric outlets and usb charging ports there as well. Common area nice; self service beer, coffee and beverage with great seating all around. Toilet and shower areas well constructed and afford sufficient privacy while showing in individual stalls. There's even a sauna available. Staff was super and helpful.

Yes a regular Europe adapter will work. And yes, the hub has usb ports.
You download an app on your phone which will control the lights - colours, movements etc.
