We were able to see the greater portion of Copenhagen in two days basicly by using a 2-day pass on the hop on, hop off buses with an additional pass on the canal boats. The Tivoli park was a short walk away, shops, bus stops were located across the plaza. A warning: eat your free breakfast in the morning. The...

Too bad there are negative reviews . We found this to be a fantastic hotel by any standards! We are an "older" couple and stayed before a HA cruise. It is a very old, historic hotel that has been beautifully modernized (even has a fitness room with towels and drinking water)yet still has a classic feel. The concierge team is...

Very expensive Hotel which states all rooms have stunning views. We had views of an apartment block and the street below was very noisy late evening/early morning. Sleep deprivation! Not 4 star. Centrally located but so are a lot of other hotels.

The Scandic Palace is located just a block from the Tivoli Gardens, just a half a block from a Hop On-Hop Off bus stop, two blocks from the central train station, and it is adjacent to major pedestrian only shopping streets. The staff was very helpful in making local dining and transportation suggestions. The buffet breakfast was very good with...

Arrived before noon and our room was ready. This was a plus since we had been traveling since the day before. Room was small but clean. Beds were small and not very comfortable. Location wise it is situated fairly central to a lot of shopping, Tivoli Gardens, the train station and restaurants. Speaking of food, breakfast was included in our...

The Scandic Palace is perfectly situated in the city center, across from Tivoli Gardens, two blocks from the central train station, and next to the pedestrian district. Scandic hotels tend to be great value for nice rooms and this was no different. We had a junior suite, in order to spend time in the evenings in the living room while...

We arrived at 9 AM and our room was ready! 6 hours early. The room was very spacious , comfortable, extremely clean and modern. Breakfast yummy and lots of choices. Shortly after we arrived we wanted to see the city. The hotel told us to look for the red umbrellas "free tours". We did just that. We spoke with Simone...

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
