Had a great time staying in this hotel. Such a convenient centrally located hotel just a stones throw from tivoli gardens. The hotel is a beautiful old building with original features and although old is very clean and very well maintained. We stayed for new year and had rooms with balconies overlooking the main square which was amazing. The staff...

I stayed for 4 nights at the Scandic to visit my daughter who is in Copenhagen on a semester abroad. I loved the location of the hotel as it was central to great restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. The only challenge we encountered was noise. Our room was on the side overlooking a quaint street which, as it turned out, had...

We spent two nights here on a city break and it was ideal! The location is great, central, and within easy walking distance of the central train station (København H). Our room was comfortable and very clean, with all the usual things you might expect plus a bath (great after a long day walking around the city!). It was quiet...

My wife booked a secret valentines weekend here and what a brilliant surprise , this hotel is in a great location and has such charm, fantastic service , we were lucky enough to have a room facing the square, great views, good selection of food for breakfast, nice bar. When we return to Copenhagen we will definitely be staying here...

It's not that the Scandic was an awful hotel by any means, it just really felt more like a 3 star hotel. The location is good in that you can get around fairly easily by walking (Nyhavn is a 15-20 min walk). The hotel looks tired and the lobby needs to be spruced up. The beds are foam beds and...

We've just come back from a short break to Copenhagen where we stayed in the Scandic Palace. It's a great hotel, ideally located for the station (only five minutes walk and not a 10 mile route march as we discovered due to my husband's dubious map reading ability) and just across the road from Tivoli Gardens. The room and ensuite...

Stayed here for long weekend in Copenhagen and hotel is brilliant location. It's directly opposite the city hall in Copenhagen and so is very much at the heart of the city. Room we stayed in was spacious and well appointed. Relatively modern design as you might expect given Danish reputation for that. Bed was huge and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is...

This hotel is in city hall square close to the central station where you can get a bus ( 5A) or train to the airport. We stayed 3 nights and the room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed and all the facilities you will need. The bathroom was clean and well equipped with shower gel dispenser on the...

Getting to the hotel from Copenhagen central station is a simple five minute walk, but we just had a cabin case each to drag along. The location is perfect being slap bang in the central square giving easy access to the main restaurants and the shopping mile. On arrival, the lobby did look tired but we were quickly booked in...

This hotel is located in a beautifully grand early 20th century building. Situated across the road from the Town Hall and only a 5 minute walk from Copenhagen’s Central Station makes it ideally located to explore the city and beyond. We opted for the superior room which gave us a bigger bed and larger room which in hindsight was a...

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
