Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty.

Hotel's Favourite
We have just returned home after 4 nights at the Admiral. Beautifully restored warehouse/granary that gives a real sense of the history of the place. Superb location! Lovely breakfasts and the rooms the are very clean and fresh. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A special shout out for Gurkan who went above and beyond in giving us lots of helpful information about where to go and how to get there. Also told us where to go to get free Covid tests!

The is nicely located at dockside. It does not look from the outside as much, but very cozy rooms, spacy bathrooms with excellent beds. One down side is the dining hall that can become quite noisy if fully booked. Some acustic panels might help.

The stay was perfect. Extraordinary breakfast, beautiful location, excellent cleanliness. Care must be taken in the rooms not to hit the beams with your head, but the rooms are very nice and comfortable.

Really nice hotel with a great historical feeling but modern. Great location near the castle and Nyhavn in an upscale part of Copenhagen. The breakfast is superb. Possibilities to rent bikes, boat and golf cart.

A large first class hotel in a special old building makes for a truly special place to stay. Although the room was small this was made up by the spacious public areas and dining rooms .It was nice to have access on to the waterfront seating looking across to the modern opera house. Food in the Bistro Bar was excellent and the breakfast room a real pleasure, with ample choices. What makes this hotel so special is the warm and helpful staff who create such a happy atmosphere. We were impressed by the great kindness of the Reception staff who helped us to overcome a problem with a cancelled flight home, and in being so helpful the following day in retrieving and, forwarding, a lost phone. This was an outstanding level of customer service that we have not experienced anywhere else, and we are most grateful. Do not hesitate to stay in this well run hotel if if you are planning a trip to Copenhagen.…

We stayed here for a 4 day weekend for a wedding in Copenhagen. It was a great location and a beautifully refurbished old grain warehouse into a hotel. The rooms were the quietest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Small but functional with quality, modern appointments and features.

Great location, the view is amazing, Salt outdoor seating facing the sea is superb. The staff are professional and friendly. Walking distance from all attractions. They have an electrical boat to tour the canals; a must do. They have bicycles as well. Breakfast is delicious…

Have stayed here many times as it is close to my office and I visit every few months. The hotel is clean and well located. Rooms are nice but some are better than others, as there are quite a few types and some are a little bigger than others. The only thing I hope for is bigger windows on the rooms facing the water as sometimes you dont get to enjoy the view.
