I stayed here for 3 nights during a 4 day city trip. I had booked a single room but got a spacious double for single use. I paid 94 euors/night (voucher) which included a large and high quality breakfast buffet each morning. The usual rate at this hotel is much more.

What you have to understand before going to Copenhagen is that "service" is not one of their strenghts. They don´t understand the concept! The hotel is clean, rooms are big, but it is too expensive for its proposition and corridors and rooms are very dark. It´s a old warehouse that was transformed into a Hotel. They say it is charming...

Walking distance to Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn so if you are in Copenhagen to do some shopping the location is excellent. Also the castle and Amalienborg is righ in the neighborhood. The building is and old warehouse and quite interesting to look around. We had a room right above the entrance and was bothered with noise from guests entering and...

This hotel is a converted warehouse on the edge of the harbour. Nyhavn is just around the corner, the Amaliehaven park and Amalienborg right next door and the Opera House just across the basin. Rooms facing the harbour have Juliet balconies with a pleasant view to the Opera House. Check in was fast and helpful and the room was a...

I expect this is as good as it gets in Copenhagen and that I just drew a short straw on the room. Room 40?, a de luxe double. This is one of those rooms in which every single action of daily life takes a long time. Resembling some hideously symmetrical Yggdrasil, there's an enormous Y beam in the room, the...

This hotel is beautifully located: next to the river and few minutes walk from Nyhavn. In the past this was a warehouse and they converted it into a hotel. Beautifully done by the way. Lobby with bar and restaurant Salt are fantastic. The rooms are pretty small but for a stay of only a few days this is fine. Bathroom...

Spent three nights here. Ideally located for seeing the sites of old Copenhagen; close to Nyhavn, Amelieborg and the Waterfront. Given the nature of the building, the rooms were a bit dark but large and well apoointed. I found the bed hard though. Ate one night in the hotel restaurant, Slat, which loved up to it's name - food was...

Stayed one night and had lunch. Quirky place and watch your head in most rooms becuase the beams can be a bit low in some parts of the room. Lots of character and can walk to the harbour front from the terrace. Bar is small and can be a bit crowded. Rooms good, wifi good. Had lunch - fixed menu...

Summary: up-scale hotel, great location, architecturally interesting building, cosy feel, cool bar, great service but limited views of the harbor because of the architectural style of the building. But I would still recommend it. It had real Danish character, better than a cookie cutter modern business hotel. I was in Copenhagen for two different events (romantic break with hubby then...

This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
