We stayed with family during the heatwave in July. The hotel is an old warehouse with no airconditioning which made sleeping at night very uncomfortable. We had a waterfront room with great views but if we had the window open at night the noise from the café and restaurant below kept us awake. Our relatives had a city view room...

We stayed at Copenhagen Admiral Hotel in May 2014. I was a little disappointed when we arrived because I had requested a room with a harbor view but got a room with a city view and even though the hotel was not full they would not change us to a harbor view room. The Hotel is a very old building...

We stayed in July for 2 nights and I highly recommend this hotel. The room was reasonably sized and I loved all of the old beams throughout the hotel which gave it a unique feel. I think this hotel is ideally located - between the Ameliaborg Palace and Kongens Nytorv. We took the Metro from the airport and then walked...

First time in Denmark. Hotel is an old warehouse on the seafront ; very comfortable location to go almost everywhere in Copenhagen. From Airport to Htl by taxi, approx 250 DKK (approx 35 Euros). Htl has no A/C and was a little disappointing (end of July is a bit hot), but Denmark is extremely keen about environment so we realized...

We stayed here for three nights and had an attractive room on the harbour side. However, there was lots of noise from the harbour - talking, music and shouting at night and then construction sounds from about 7 in the morning. The room had no circulation of air and was stifling all day and all night. However, the facilities were...

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
