The hotel is located in the middle of everything: the Central Station and the Tivoli Gardens are right across the street and yet you hardly hear the voices from the hotel room. It's very convenient to take the train from the airport directly to the hotel (2 minutes walk from the station). The breakfast is adequate and served at 6:30-10:30...

We had a wonderful stay and the staff couldn't do enough for us to make our stay comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The restaurant is also superb with delicious steak, with attentive and friendly staff. The location is also great right next to the main station and Tivoli, and close to all the main...

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to embarkation on a cruise ship to the Baltic Sea. The hotel was very nice and centrally located, minutes walk from Stroget, the main shopping district in Copenhagen, and the central train station.. Maybe a little too close... We checked in and requested a quiet room away from the elevators, towards...

Beware espresso lovers, they put a sign on their coffee machine each morning saying its BROKEN! Asked reception to have machine fixed got a lame excuse, they really did want to serve espresso in the morning, too much work! Not service style of a hotel that used to be grand.

My wife and I spent 5 nights over the Christmas holidays at this hotel, upgraded to a junior suite. We chose the hotel primarily for its central location, in front of the Central Train Station (with easy access to the airport) and across the street from Tivoli Gardens. Its location is perfect for exploring central Copenhagen to include its pedestrian...

Really a lovely hotel that brings you back to the 50´s with beautiful wood covering the walls and exeptional details everywhere. Room was large and great and the service was 5 star! I was most impressed by the bar which is just one of the most amazing ive ever seen and had live jazz music playing!

Spent 3 nights here with Mrs Sowie for her holiday weekend in Copenhagen. The location is wonderful for anyone flying into the city. Simply take the train from the airport to Copenhagen central station, walk outside and there is the hotel....incidentally it faces the Tivoli Gardens too We requested a room overlooking the gardens and were allocated room 306. It...

The hotel is just outside the main station making it easy to find and very convenient to get around. The decor is full of character and a drink in the library bar is a must. Breakfast is a good spread of both cooked and cold food. There is a gym downstairs which has good equipment. Staff are friendly but lack...

Last weekend i went to Copenhagen. After a terrible fight against the weather conditions, i went for the second time to Plaza. It's really an hotel with excellent location, near everything we want to explore in Copenhagen. But... This hotel needs a lifting: services, rooms, confort...

Perhaps my expectations were too high? In town for four days for work, I thought that putting myself next to the Kobenhavn Central station was both logistically smart (to get back and forth to work) and a fantastic base for exploring the city. I was right about the location--and you can't ask for better walking access to much of what...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
