The breakfast buffet was just accross the street and was ample and very tasty. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, yoghurt, fruit, bread, cheese, meats fruit etc. Danish pastries were also available.
The note, is connected to the leashes Center. We swam a few rounds in the pool, and played shuffle board. The bowling was also an option, but only free if booked on the day and if available.
Relaxing lounge downstairs with coffee machine that also dispenses hot chocolate or hot water for tea. Lots of board games to try as well.
Staff were all super friendly and welcoming and location near the station was very convenient. The low scores from old reviews look to be from before this place was refurbished
The hotel lobby is nice and you are welcome to drink some free drinks in this area, and also bring in your own food to eat whilst waiting (which is what we did when we arrived for check in and our rooms were not ready). We also saw other guests doing the same when we returned later that day to complete check in.
The rooms are apparently recently renovated but they are still pretty basic.
We didn't do much here other than rest and sleep, as we only stayed for one night. They have a swimming pool which looked fab.
We didn't get to try breakfast, although it was paid for in my booking they refused to give us a go bag from breakfast and had to leave on empty bellies for an early check out. So, this wasn't a great finish to the short stay in Copenhagen...especially, when we arrived early for check in, the food we ate was a breakfast to go bag from the hotel we had just come from!
It is close to the sights too, and if you're not waiting to walk, it's easy enough jumping on the train or metro from the hotel location.
Without any doubt, I will always recommend this hotel and in case I come back to this amazing city again, I will visit you. I would love to see the hotel 100% alfter its renovation.
Congratulations for your job!
The family room is just big enough, so it works for up to 4 people. Only the bike rental is a bit odd, that was very disappointing.
We chose CPH for value and close proximity to the centre and station.Getting from the airport to the centre is very easy and cheap by overground train or metro.
The hotel is approx 10/12 minute walk.
Our room was clean, modern and comfortable.
Take note, there is no Restaurant here but breakfast is served in a building next door which is excellent.
The hotel seems to cater mainly for the conference clientelle who get their lunch and dinner served in our breakfast hall.We were jealous as the standard appeared to be quite high!!We tried to blag our way in for Dinner but to no avail.
If you arrive late at night as we did,an evening meal is abit tricky and your options are a tad limited to chicken/fast food nearer the station that are still open.
The hotel has help yourself pay bar in the lobby with free coffee to boot.
There is a municipal pool attached to the hotel which is good but attracts all the locals and families.Water is not heated and can be a tad cool.Although it has the usual spa facilities.
One of the best food options is the meat packing district,a short 5 minute walk from the hotel. Its the site of the old meat warehouses of old and really caters for all tastes. We recommend Pater Pater especially.A pizza one called Mama has queues trying to get a table.
We found other good restaurants near the hotel too which can be expensive but of good quality.
One tip, take the river cruise boat to see the City and top quality buildings and modern architecture.
Shops in the centre are of a high standard, clean and good service throughout.Lots of cute little cafes serving nice, fresh cakes.
Copenhagen is not really for the budget conscious and will eat into your Kronas but its the best city break i experienced for a long time.
Our room overlooked paddel courts open until late in the evening with clearly audible noises. Next to the paddel courts are also the train platforms of the central station.
Breakfast is served in a separate building from the main one and you need to go outside.
All buffet breakfast, no service. Dessert non-existent except mini and frozen croissants. No cakes, no biscuits, no packaged jam. Not even coffee from the machines but in the carafes.
Poor and cold salty breakfast.
Parking available in front of the hotel for a fee.
No shuttle to the airport.
There is a fitness center with swimming pool attached; Hurry to get in because it closes at 5pm sharp and you will have to be out by 5.30pm.
Useless service for those visiting the city, and totally useless even on a rainy day that forces you to return to the hotel before dinner not knowing what to do outside.
There is also bowling... If you can find free lanes. We showed up at 4pm and they told us that the first track was available at 11pm! Not bad.
If you are a family, stay away.
All this at the end of April...I imagine comfort in winter or in high tourist season.
As a one night dormitory (if you are a very heavy sleeper and don't eat breakfast!!) perhaps it would be fine
Location on the other hand is good. It is a short walk from a number of restaurants, which is fortunate as the hotel itself has very limited facilities. If I was staying again in Copenhagen I'd look for something else.
