Nestled in the heart of Copenhagen, Hotel D'Angleterre garners acclaim for its stellar location, offering easy access to key attractions and dining options. The spacious, opulent rooms, though somewhat pricey, delight many with their luxurious amenities, including a Michelin-starred restaurant and a pampering spa, but some guests note the WiFi could be improved.

Detailed Reviews
We absolutely loved Hotel D’Angleterre. We made a last minute booking of 2 rooms the night before our daughters wedding last week. We received a very warm and inviting welcome from the check in staff, the rooms were impeccably appointed, we enjoyed some delicious in-room dining and the staff were extraordinarily helpful with some last minute requests. We are so pleased we chose to stay here. It was a truly wonderful experience. An extra special thanks to the staff member who delivered a bag containing our daughters second wedding dress to the ceremony location after it was left in the hotel lobby! Thanks for the memories team D’Angleterre. We will return when visiting Copenhagen again.

This is the best hotel in Copenhagen but has some small issues.
The only other comparable hotel is Nimb but their location is poor unless you want to spend a lot of time at Tivoli - it’s right next to the station and surrounded by cheap Irish bars.
This hotel is in a beautiful building and ideally located for sightseeing, everything is within a 10 minute walk. It is right on the main square and next to the upmarket shopping streets.
The staff are generally very polite and helpful. Some of the staff at breakfast are quite rude - one seemed livid we had dared to turn up to breakfast within 15 minutes of closing. We were also told incorrectly that items on the menu were extra when in fact they were included in our room rate.
The room itself is nice but has very limited storage - one of the two drawers is taken up by a safe.
The pillows are for some reason half size and square and quite uncomfortable. We asked for larger ones but this was the largest they had.
The toilet paper brought back memories of school it was so rough.
So some minor issues that need addressing, but there isn’t really any competition in the city if you are looking for a true five star hotel.

Without doubt this is our favourite Hotel anywhere in the world.
We enjoyed the NY celebrations and stayed the night of 31 December. We have been to the d'Angleterre very many times in the past 55 years and have always been impressed and delighted at the excellence of the service, the rooms and the dining faciities and the general wonderful level of comfort throughout the hotel. At the hotel we celebrated our wedding there, our 50th anniversary, my 80th birthday, five New Years celebrations including over nights and many other dinners and meals. To us it has always been the hotel to visit and to stay.

I truly wish that I could’ve given this place 5 stars, because it’s without a doubt a beautiful and luxurious place. But with such a price tag, the place needs to be reviewed in the light of what other hotels can offer at the same rate.
The good stuff: Beautiful place, amazing location right in the middle of the city and literally next to the metro. The guest room was nice with good bedding, huge tub and a spacious bathroom. The spa (which is free for guests) is REALLY good and luxurious, and they provide the Amazing Space products complimentary in the room. Really nice! I ordered room service, and the food options are truly another level; you can order signature dishes from Marchal as well as burger and fries. Definitely the best selection I’ve tried in a hotel. The hotel’s cake shop on the corner is also a great option for dessert and cakes.
The not so good: Doorman didn’t take my luggage upon arrival, and after checkout I also had to carry my bags to the the door. Kind of strange. One afternoon there was no doorman (it was only 18:00). The breakfast is good but the coffee was kind of awful (the Nespresso in the room was way better). Had to wait 15 mins. for a window table for breakfast because of many outside guests. Had Apple TV installed in my room, but the hotel hadn’t cleared it since last user, which allowed me to see the email, “last seen” etc. for a handful of previous guests. Not ok. Lastly, I felt that the service was great, but also a bit impersonal and distanced at times.

A classic hotel where the guest is noticed and treated with courtesy by the excellent and every willing staff.
Our room was perfect for us and well stocked with extra towels, pillows and everything we had asked for beforehand. It was also really clean and was kept that way too. There was none of the decrepit fading one so often encounters in grand hotels in major cities.
I know that the place is a trifle on the rich side but then again, I've had far worse service in London at an equivalently priced hotel.
It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel on this visit to the capital.. We were very well treated and I shall definitely plan to stay here the next time I return to Copenhagen which, if only because of the charm of the Danes, is as fantastic a city as I ever heard it was.

This iconic hotel is amazing and staff outstanding and will go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. The service provided here is so exceptionally unique and I'd like to think that "best in class" was invented right here.
No words are enough to describe just how wonderful the staff is and how very welcome and appreciated they make you feel from the very moment you enter the hotel.
Apart from the best location in town, the rooms are beautifully decorated, bathrooms are stunning, beds comfy and you sleep like a queen.
The breakfast is heavenly, I love that it's a'la carte and not a buffet - even though it kind of is as you get your own small buffet on the table :) Great variety and you can taste that only top quality raws have been chosen. The egg Florentine and the poached eggs with truffle and mushrooms are to die for!
Room service is great with a good variety, all at very reasonable prices.
I live 2 km from the hotel and I'd never choose another hotel in town for a staycation.
Can't wait to visit again!

The Hotel D’Angleterre is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. I HIGHLY recommend this accommodation during your visit to Copenhagen.
The staff at the front door was very welcoming and had a joyful greeting every time I walked in.
The front desk employees helped me with all my needs and was even able to assist me with getting an early room. The concierge was also great with recommending two delicious restaurants.
The room was also beyond amazing and I felt at home there. I absolutely had no complaints at all with my room. The balcony was by far my favorite feature of it. I could read the newspaper while having a coffee and watch the sunrise.
I truly hope to come back to this fantastic hotel! For more photos and any questions regarding my travels please reach out to me on my Instagram: cliffcope_

Lovely birthday celebration stay. Our junior suite was smaller than expected and without a balcony but very charming and beautifully decorated with stunning interior and a gorgeous view! We really enjoyed the delicious room service food from Marchal. Breakfast was heavenly as well and the service from all the departments was far above any expectations - they do go above and beyond for you at all times. Location is perfect, right in the city centre and close to Nyhavn and the canals. Would love to return to this stunning and iconic hotel!

This was a hotel experience that ranked in the top hotels I've stayed in. We worked with reservations to arrange a two bedroom for our family of 5, we were treated to an extraordinary room with all the amenities we could want. The reservations team were extremely helpful and took care of everything. Concierge arranged for everything we needed, transport and restaurant reservations. She was absolutely a delight and took care of everything we needed. When we arrived late at night, the front desk team made sure we were still taken care of, as they did when we had to leave at 4:30 AM for our departure. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It was dressed up for the holidays. Even though it was elegant and grand, the staff makes it feel welcoming. We ate at Marchal, the food was absolutely delicious and again the service was amazing. I would come back again anytime!

[Stayed May 19-22]
Beautiful hotel in the city center with phenomenal customer service. Yes, it’s pricey but this was part of my annual birthday trip where I do a little splurging. Great location and walking distance to restaurants, shops, canals, points of interests etc. We booked the “deluxe guest room” and asked for a room overlooking the main square and we got it. You could also see Nyhaven at a distance.
Welcome treats were in our room upon arrival which was a pleasant surprise. The king size bed was absolutely comfy, the bathroom was large with good water pressure in the shower + amenities. The only negative about the room was the spotty WiFi- It was difficult when making a few FaceTime calls.
Enjoyed a relaxing evening at the pool located at the Spa which also had a steam room and sauna. Maybe because it was late in the day but the pool area was a little messy with a lot of used towels lying around. Tried going into the steam room but left because it had a poor “#1” scent. The sauna and pool were fine though. Lovely products in the boutique and an area where you could test them. I did end up buying a nice serum.
Overall, had a great time staying at D’Angleterre. Every staff we encountered were very professional, attentive and courteous. Extra shout out to our driver who picked us up from the airport, Jasper. He was a wealth of information and provided many tips as a local. The concierge who checked us in were also very lovely.
