Located a stone's throw from the central station, the Good Morning City Copenhagen Star hotel is celebrated for its easy airport access and prime sightseeing location. While some guests discuss affordability and unexpected costs, many feel the breakfast justifies the expense. The hotel's rooms are often described as simplistic and snug but praised for their cleanliness and comfort.
Frequent commendations are given to the friendly and responsive staff who contribute to the hotel's relaxed and cozy atmosphere. However, opinions on the amenities are divided, citing them as basic and the breakfast space as limited.

Detailed Reviews
We had two twin rooms (321 and 331) - travelling as a family of parents and two kids aged 17 and 16. We were greeted warmly and found our rooms spacious and clean. One of the rooms (321) had to have the electronic key card reprogrammed several times because it repeatedly stopped working and one room (331) had a problem with the heating not working that was fixed very swiftly with a heater. Neither are a complaint because the staff dealt with issues in a friendly swift manner. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast even though there were 2 small Danish on arrival (30 minutes before breakfast was due to end) and no replenishment. The hotel is really well situated close to the central station so we could also on our final day leave our bags in the luggage store while we were out and about all day waiting for our night time flight home. Although on a busy road we had no disruption and slept really well with comfy beds and a good shower. Overall I would definitely recommend the hotel particularly for the staff : for example as we went to leave in the evening we suddenly noticed it was raining and we were hesitating by the door but the guy on reception offered us an umbrella which we thought was a nice gesture and was appreciated. A good hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights, location is key as it's located 100m from Kobenhavn H metro station as well as 200m from some night bars and a 5 min walk to the Tivoli Gardens. The fact that it was next to the metro station helped us save a lot of time in order to visit the places we had in mind. Breakfast was great so it's worth adding to your booking. Really quiet (we stayed on the 5th floor). The room we stayed in had a lot of space to store the bags and we could also hang up some of our clothes in the wardrobe. The only small thing was that after taking showers, the steam from the hot water remained in the bathroom so we had to leave the door open and open the window to avoid bad smell. Everything else was great, comfortable beds were also really appreciated
That being said, I strongly advise for travellers to issue a Copenhagen Card upon their arrival to the Airport (public transportation is 100% included as well as pretty much every palce to see- castles, museums etc). We did that and used the metro at least 8 times per day saving a lot and adding value to the fact that the hotel is next to the metro station.

The location of this hotel is excellent, and probably its biggest plus: just a few minutes walk from the station, close to bars and restaurants, walking distance to the centre.
Check-in was handled quickly, and efficiently.
We had a room on the top floor, which meant a partially sloping roof, perfect for banging your head, especially if you had to get up in the night. The layout was practical, with enough room for your clothes etc for a short stay. As you would expect, furnishings were IKEA style.
The bathroom was a little spartan, which seems to be a Danish thing - both in hotels (except 5 star hotels) and private homes. The shower was awful, the flimsy shower curtain too narrow and far too short. We decided against having a shower as the entire bathroom would have flooded, and we were only staying one night.
A very pleasant surprise was the buffet breakfast. The choice and quality was amazing, with lots of organic food, freshly squeezed orange juice, and excellent coffee.
We stayed in late August, which was presumably still peak season, and we paid about DKK1600 incl breakfast; a week later the price was about half. My star rating for this hotel reflects the price and category. Good for a night or two, and perfectly adequate if you don't want to spend a fortune.

The hotel is in an ideal location right next to the station and very easy to find. All the staff at reception were immensely friendly and helpful which was excellent whilst visiting a new city. The room was a bit warm and the bathroom fan didn’t work but was otherwise clean and not too noisy with the window closed.

We arrived at the hotel on September 29 with the whole family and we were living there til oktober 2. We were going to spend the weekend here. We are from Norway and have been tarvelig a lot around the world and this has been the worst hotell.
When we checked in we were told that we should let them know when we needed the room cleaned and new towels. We told them on friday that we needed vacuuming of the room, on saturday morning we told them again, since the room had not been cleaned on friday, on saturday evening it had not yet been cleande... We asked one more time on saturday, with the hope that it had been cleaned when we returned later on the night. The room had not yet been cleaned. We gave notice three times, each time we were told that the rom was gona get cleand as soon as possible.
On friday evening we also saw a couple who walked barefoot around the reception and the eating area, this was also not taken care of by the man standing in the reception. It happend several times.
All in all, bad hygiene, bad and sour smell in the corridors and around the breakfasttabels. Bad job by the cleaners and the receptionists. The day we left we asked the girl in the reseption why things have been as they have, she was just standing there and did not care at all. The only thing she said was sorry. And the water was really bad, the toilets didn’t flush.
We have also had small bites up through the legs after sleeping in the bed.
We do not recommend this hotel.

Convenient for Central Station the room was as described. Upon check-in there was an issue where I was charged for a room I'd already paid for in full, even though I advised the receptionist I'd paid online she proceeded to take payment saying something about direct security payment to hotel. Upon checking later I discovered that I'd been charged in full again. This matter was quickly resolved and a full refund issued with an apology. Prior to arriving I'd also requested an iron and board, this request wasn't fulfilled, resulting in another trip to reception! The room itself was very basic, not even a kettle, although I knew this at the time of booking. The bathroom was especially poor, dated and cramped. Breakfast was good with a variety of foods.

Have stayed in a lot of European hotels, some more expensive, some budget, this one was really good. The online check-in was great, loved this feature, all I had to do was to pick up my keys and go to my room. The room was a decent size, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and although my room was on the street side the double windows blocked any noise. The bathroom is really small, but appreciated that there was a door and a shower curtain so the entire bathroom floor didn't get wet. The towels were so nice! Even better, there was a hairdryer. Only draw back . . . no lotion to go with the soap/shampoo, imho not such a big deal but would be nice to have. The coffee in the lobby was really good.

The location of the hotel is ideal for a short trip to Copenhagen - literally two minutes from Central Station. We had a room facing onto the main street and it wasn't noisy at all.
The rooms are basic, but have everything you need and the shower was decent.
The breakfast on offer is excellent with a large choice and lots of fresh options.

We had a very good experience staying at the hotel. The room was clean and breakfast was good and had all the typical things you can expect from e hotel breakfast. The best thing was the hotel's location on a more quiet street despite being in the very centre and only 50 meters from the side entrance to the train station. Getting to Ströget and such places was a 10 minute walk down the big road and the area has all types of stores with necessities such as food if need be.
The hotel staff was very nice and friendly everytime we had the pleasure to encounter them.

My partner and I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond at all times to provide us with everything we needed (extra toiletries, luggage storage, etc.) We were even surprised with a little welcome note in our room. The breakfast buffet provided a great range of fresh fruit, cereal, eggs and bacon plus pastries, pancakes and bread/ham/cheese, though it was sometimes difficult to find a seat! Housekeeping was not done on a daily basis (it is provided every fourth day), meaning we did run out of toilet paper at one point, but this was quickly remedied with a quick word to reception, and you are free to request housekeeping before noon on any given day. Other reviewers mentioned that it could be a noisy location, but we personally didn't experience any issues of that kind. 4.5 out of 5.

Dear Lesley, thank you for the feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you had an excellent stay and enjoyed our friendly/helpful staff, welcome message in the room, breakfast, quietness of the hotel and luggage facilities. As you mentioned we have an ecofriendly approach to the cleaning, so it's either done by demand or every 4th day automatically. We appreciate your understanding regarding seating during rush hour in our breakfast area. Hope to welcome you back again for another excellent stay. Best regards, Copenhagen Star Team

Dear MeiKeeC3
Uber does unfortunately not opperate in Copenhagen. The best way to get around is either public transportation, and you can buy day passes in the Central Station, or taxi companies.
Best wishes,
