As other reviews have noted, this is a no-frills establishment in an excellent location. But groups of 3+ persons will likely be given a room behind the elevator shaft and will have the honor of listening to its every movement from the early-bird breakfast eaters begin descending until about 2:00 AM when the drunks come back. We suspected immediately that...

Thank you for posting these comments on several review boards, including this note on Tripadvisor. Over the years, my staff and I have noticed that guests staying in single rooms adjacent to the elevator are not disturbed by the summing of the lift. We believe that 3-4 people sharing a family room sleep lighter than other guests, because all the...

The best thing about the hotel is undoubtedly the location - minutes from the beautiful Nyhavn and the metro station (direct from the airport), and about 30 mins pleasant walk along the main shopping strip to the Tivoli. The sightseeing buses also have a stop very nearby, which is also convenient. There were dozens of cafes, restaurants and bars within...

Located close to Kongens Nytorv metro stop, about 10 minutes' walk. Hotel is an easy stroll to the waterfront, and to Stroget, the longest pedestrian shopping road. Clean and neat, large basic bathroom but don't expect international 3-star quality. The mattress is comfortable, but the furniture down to the lights are very much IKEA style, i.e. basic knock down type....

Thank you for posting your review and for all your kind remarks. We are sorry to read that you were not entirely happy with our taste in furniture and the WiFi's signal strengh. For your information, we have just ordered a full upgrade of our WLAN's access points to the latest standard (IEEE 802.11n). An increasing proportion of our guests...

We booked in the Maritime as we wanted somewhere near Nyhavn and we also got a good deal on this through Otel.com. We were in the Grand last time we went to Copenhagen and it was too far from anywhere we wanted to go. Also we wanted somewhere near to restaurants serving Danish food (I don't go to Denmark to...

We stayed four nights at this 3 star hotel and it was the perfect no frills base for exploring Copenhagen. Minutes walk from the centre of Copenhagen and a main Metro Stop with direct access to the airport. Rooms are very basic but have all you need, the Staff were excellent and happy to give local maps and information on...

Hotel Maritime was clean, affordable, and well located. It is about a 5 - 8 minute walk from Kongens Nytorv (Metro stop and bus hub) and a 5 minute walk to Nyhavn. The complementary breakfast offered an assortment of breads, sliced meats, cheeses, pastries, cereals, yogurts, and hot dishes (eggs and wieners.) Coffee and tea is available in the lobby...

I chose this hotel after reading Tripadvisor reviews. For travellers from the east part of the world, Copenhagen is expensive. My requirements for the hotel were a good breakfast and free wifi. I'd already cancelled a booking for a four-star apartment at twice the price when I found out its kitchenette comprised a toaster and a microwave, and there was...

We booked this place online after being recommended it by another hotel that wasn't open when we wanted to travel. We arrived at 11am hoping we could store our bags for the day until we could check in. To our amazement the very polite member of staff arranged for us to check in, there and then. This was fantastic as...

We stayed at the Maritime Hotel over Easter weekend and ended spending most afternoons in the room to stay out of the cold - we really appreciated the hot tea and coffee which was available all day! The breakfast was great; it was easy to take things along for lunch as well. Most of Copenhagen is within walking distance though...

We were on vacation from Spain with our 6 month old baby. The hotel and our room was clean, the staff was very friendly and knowledgable regarding the local area and attractions, and it's located within 5 minutes of the train station (airport express). Close to many attractions. I was impressed with the free breakfast. Breads, meats, cheeses, jams, eggs...
