The site is very cleverly positioned in a fort by the coast. When sitting by the pitch you are unaware of the nearby city and could be in a countryside site. We stayed for two nights (in a motorhome) and visited the city by bus - there is a bus stop just outside the site that takes you straight into... More

We camped in a tent here and the location assigned to us was far from favourable. It was at the base of a hill, and for campers in the know, that's a bad, bad place for placing a tent - we woke up to massive condensation. The location of Charlotten was a huge disappointment. It's a long walk to the... More

We stayed here for a weekend and wished we had stayed a lot longer! Perfect cozy camping ground, very original and nice! Right next to the beach and easy access to buses towards the city center. Parking the car was for free and the staff was really nice. Perfect facilities, perfect staff, perfect city! Couldn´t have asked for better. We... More

The fort is amazing. The campsite is on the fort and you access over a bridge. It is a popular tourist and local use beach area and the beach stretches for about 600 metres with a sandy area (lots of grass behind) cafes, coffee shop, lifeguards area (in season) and the Søbad which the public can access June to August... We stayed here for two nights, early August, just as the Danish school children were starting back, so it was rather quiet but full. Easy to find with helpful staff, this is a small campsite with few pitches, so best to book in advance. Over the little bridge, the office doubles up as a cafe, serving delicious coffee and croissants.... More

We spent two nights on the campground in a camper. We liked - the location in an old fort - very close to the ocean and a bath in the sea - friendly welcome by staff - about 30 minutes by bus to the center of copenhagen (get the tickets at the office) - quite spacious, numbered camping spots -... This campsite is located within a fort 50 metres from the sea in Charlottenlund on the northern outskirts of Copenhagen. There is a beach next to the site. There is a bus service to the city centre which stops nearby and a train station 20 minutes walk from the site. Washroom facilities are modern and clean. The site is popular... More
