Detailed Reviews
We booked the Guldsmeden hotel due to it’s good reputation. It did not really met up to it.
We got a room in the back which had a balcony/ little outside patio. It is the quiet side so that was nice. The reception and breakfast area are nicely decorated. The surroundings of the hotel are perfect. Lots of restaurants and access to Donkey Republic bikes to rent.
I do not want to sound to negative but those where the nicest points. The room is large enough but outdated. Flooring is old en squeaky. If you are a light sleeper, you hear people walking in the hallway and in the rooms above you. This is because of the wooden floors. We are used to it but the room is not sound proof.
The patio is not decorated and the plants are dead. Bathroom is old but really clean. Bed is ok but I was happy to have my own pillow. The room is really hot, there is little ventilation so at night we needed to open the door...that meant there was quite some noise from outside.
To sum it up we slept just fine but price/quality is out of proportion with this hotel. I understand that things in a capital are a little more expensive. But at these prices you just expect more... just a little extra.
We did not use the breakfast since we like to try out small local shops and we found it way to expensive at the hotel. There are plenty nice breakfast spots at only 3 minutes walking distance.

It was very eco-centric!
The room was well stocked with all you needed - the regular hotel things like bath and hand washes, but also had lovely oils, combs, tooth brush and tablet tooth paste.
The balcony was welcome, as the room was kind of small, so it made it feel less claustrophobic.
The room was small. You couldn't really move astound easily in it.
You could also hear the sound from the other rooms.
The lift was very bouncy and left me feeling dizzy on arrival to my floor. 😵

We spent 3 nights at 66 Guldsmeden recently and from the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. All the staff are friendly, helpful and empathetic. The room was spotless and comfortable, amply supplied with lovely eco products. At breakfast, you will be treated to a selection of juices, and a wide choice including delicous jams. It is a haven and we fully recommend it.

We loved, loved, loved 66 Guldsmeden and are actually kind of "homesick" for it now that we've moved on to a big, fancy hotel in Stockholm. We miss the intimacy, the ecoconsciousness, the friendly staff (fond thanks especially to Bettina for answering a new round of questions each morning!), the beautiful and delectable breakfast buffet, the several balconies overlooking one charming courtyard or another, the great design sense and funky art on display--really, the whole package. Our room was cozy but not cramped, peaceful overnight, and equipped with everything we could wish for. (Well, OK, we might have liked some air-conditioning at times, but I expect it's against Guldsmeden's principles, which I appreciate. The windows opened, and anyhow there was a fan we could have used if we'd been more enterprising.) The location was great, with easy access to almost any part of the city we wanted to visit, and within a block or so of a charming sidestreet with a French flavor and yet more great cafes and shops.

If you want a hotel with peace in the room and a nice temperature to sleep in, then you should not stay here.
The chosen room faced directly onto Vesterbrogade. There is no soundproofing in the windows and only a wooden blind for the window. This means that almost all noise and light comes in from the street (there is a street lamp just outside the window in room 117).
How it will be possible to have a cool room in the summer months I do not know. The room I entered was very hot. There is only a ceiling fan and no air conditioning. Fair enough - it doesn't appear from their website either. I probably didn't think that there are still hotels without it.
The possibility of parking is shown on their website. However, this must be booked in advance. Otherwise, you have to hope for parking in one of the side streets or in a parking garage about 700 meters from the hotel.
As written, if you are looking for a hotel with peace to sleep, then you should not choose this one.

Stayed for 3 days , Wednesday midday to Friday afternoon in December, in a double balcony with bath room 133 . The bed was comfortable , room was warm with adjustable radiator , kettle , large tv , most excellent bathroom with bath and separate shower . Very good range of toiletries. Good number of power sockets.
Balcony with 2 chairs and a table . Enough wardrobe space / hanging rail for a few days.very nice duvet , and good pillows
Points to note , even though there is a lift from entrance , you have to be able to carry your luggage up or down stairs to get to or from reception
Do try their own mulled wine in winter , best we have tasted

Dear guest Thank you kindly for your review of your recent stay. Regarding the elevator, it stops at all the floors so it is not necessary to carry the luggage, however we will of course gladly help you with the luggage another time. We are glad that you enjoyed our popular traditional “gløgg”, we hope we can serve it to you again for next Christmas. Best wishes, Carlton 66

Susan came with me on a trip to Copenhagen. I had three days of meetings, but we flew in early to have the weekend in the city. This hotel was a key part of why we loved it in Copenhagen. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food and drinks we shared were very good. It has a family feel to it that can't be explained by corporate edict. The staff seemed to be genuinely happy to be present, displaying a sincere affinity for each other and the guests. Well done!

A cozy hotel with a really good location. The bed was good and had nice linens and several soft pillows.
There was an electric kettle, so you could make yourself a cup of coffee/tea.
We had been given a room facing the street so there was a bit of noise during the night.

We stayed here on our last night. The hotel is an eco hotel, offering chemical free profits in the bathroom. The ambience is inviting, with indoor plants and the breakfast is a quality highlight. Lots of organic and seasonal offerings.
Central location.
The aspect to the outside brings in the plants.
The room had tea making facilities. Friendly staff in the kitchen and Matilde on reception.
Recommended!
