I came back this morning after 3 nights spent in this wonderful Hotel! Alexandra Hotel is very centered (5 min. walk from Tivoli and Central Station) perfect to spend couple of days and visit the city. The hotel has the typical danish style in terms of decor, basic and clean but decor of design from the reception to the rooms...

Centrally located, close to railway station and close to the heart of the city (although the latter anyway does not have too much to offer in comparison to other European cities). Hotel is good choice, different from large impersonal hotels. Nice Scandinavian Furniture. "Green" perspective: If you chose not to have them clean your room you get a 100 DKK...

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Hotel Alexandraduring a weekend trip to the Christmas Markets. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Our room was a 1950s themed room complete with retro wallpaper and amazing design furniture. The chair in our room was one of my favourite things about our whole trip! The...

From the minute that we arrived we were met with a smile. The level of customer service was out standing! Small touches like wishing us a happy birthday with a complimentary glass of wine go along way. The hotel was ideally located with in walking distance of the main attractions. The decor and furniture just fabulous. Funky retro danish modernism!...

Simple but stylish hotel, all of furniture and facilities look new, clean, comfortable. The location is very strategic as it's only about 600 km from central train station, and so many cafes/restaurants in the area.Tivoli, shopping arcades and even the canal area are within walking distance. I'll definitely stay here again in my net visit.

A wonderful mid-range hotel situated close to the railway station, this is how we arrived in the city from Germany. Our room was a 1960s throwback. Retro style. Good customer service. We found no issues with the hotel wifi.

The Hotel Alexandra was perfectly located during our three-night New Year break. A couple of minutes walk from the train station and Tivoli and central for all of the neighbourhoods we explored during our stay. Service was friendly and helpful throughout. Whilst the lobby is furnished in an extraordinary way our bedroom was a little disappointing. It wasn't the smallest...

Location was pretty good, 10 minute walk from Central Station and close to centre of town. Well designed room, everything worked. One thing to note was that the single bed was quite narrow, smaller than most singles I have experienced in Europe. Breakfast in adjoining restaurant was good value.

We enjoyed our stay. Most of the staff was quite nice and helpful but one person was literal in a very unhelpful way. If we didn't ask exactly the right question, we got an unhelpful answer. The hotel fronts on a very busy street but it seems the windows are well sound-proofed. I'm not sure because our room didn't face...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Probably the only spot on Earth where you can sit in, rest in, sleep in and admire so many pieces of Danish mid-century vintage furniture. Hotel Alexandra is a small, authentic, boutique hotel in Copenhagen - just around the corner of the City Hall Square, the Latin Quarter, the main shopping area and Tivoli Garden. Hotel Alexandra has over the past years collected a large collection of the world famous Danish mid-century vintage furniture and decorated the rooms with them. The rooms also have textiles, wallpapers and other gems that take you back in time to experience living like the design loving Danes did it in the 50’s and 60’s. As soon as you step into the Hotel Alexandra, you step into a time bubble – you can relax in the lobby, where during evening hours you can put on your favourite vinyl record from our selection, enjoy a free glass of wine and take a moment to take a closer look at one of our many designer books from our lobby library, all the while being surrounded by the finest Danish designer furniture. ... more   less
