Here we go.. - 15-20 minutes walk from the central station but barely 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro station (Dybbolsbro) - Mall is literally next door, so that takes care of many basic supplies / restaurants - USP is the waterfront, perfect for nice walks, really beautiful - Safe is at the reception (no worries) - friendly staff,...

Thank you for your comments on your stay. I am very sorry for the lack of air-conditioning. Unfortunatly our system for air-conditioning suddently broke down on 26 July and it could not be fixed or repaired. We had to install an entire new system for cooling and this has of course been at our highest priority to do as fast...

Had dinner there overlooking the harbour. It was covered with ice but nice view nonetheless. The food especially the lamb was to kill for. Good wine selection. I would definitely recommend it if the wallet is solid.

Clean and modern hotel. Great staff. Balcony worth the cost. Weird noises though when other rooms use the water, high pitch noise. Average taxi ride from airport. Our adapter didn't work and the hotel lent us one, free of charge!

This is a fantastic hotel and if you're coming to Copenhagen for business or to conduct meetings then I'd highly recommend it. It's in a great spot overlooking the harbour and easily accessed from Copenhagen Airport and the nearby train station. The rooms are modern, comfortable, well designed and very clean. The service I received from staff was efficient, professional...

Clean rooms, nice staff, a little expensive, Airport pick-up would be nice. Apparently A/C never works. A little far from cruise ship ports. Shopping center near. Canal tour boat close. A long walk to center of town.

Thank you for your review. We are located 5 km from the cruise ship ports. We recommend our guests to take a taxi both from the cruise ship ports and from the airport to get here. We are glad to say that our A/C is working again. Thank you for mentioning our clean rooms and friendly staff. Anne Louise Poulsen,...

We went here with family. During our stay the AC system was not working and construction was ongoing in front of the hotel. Poor and expensive parking facilities. Not well situated in relation to the city center. Rooms are small, beds of poor quality and the break fast is not up to standard.

Thank you for your review. The construction work in front of the hotel is establisment of a complete new aircontion system, as the old systemet unfortunately broke down. Now the new AC is working and we can again provide the guest rooms with aircooling. The parking lot outside the hotel has room for 50 cars. The parking lot is not...

The hotel itself is very lovely, but the air conditioner was out of order while we stayed so it's hot and we had to keep the windows and door open for a while. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked for ice to cool our drinks. The hotel is a bit far if your activities are all...

Thank you for your positive review. We are sorry about the air con situation, but from next week a complete new systemet is installed. Instead of taking the train to the centre of Copenhagen, you can also hop on bus no. 11A just outside . It only takes 5 min to the centre. Thank you for mentioning our staff and...

We stayed for a long weekend in a superior room which had a view overlooking the water - in my opinion worth the extra money as it was lovely to see it from lying in bed too! Stayed at the Hotel Copenhagen Island for a city break, nearest S-tog station is Dybbolbro (5 min walk). Unfortunately the airport train does not stop here, so you have to go to Central station, change trains and come back one stop! The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the city centre along a busy and noisy road. Choose...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
