We had a lovely welcome and were given a wonderful room on the 5th floor for my wife's birthday. Modern decor with heated bathroom floor were fantastic. The breakfast was ample not extensive. All very fresh and well presented. Drinks prices were pleasantly well priced for a upmarket hotel. Would definitely return here being so close to the central train...

Clean smart hotel in great location for the central station in Copenhagen. Neighbourhood is a little to be desired at night but not far to great places to go out and eat/drink. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a 2/3 minute walk from the main train station, which is handy when you're travelling from the airport. The area is a little sketchy at night, as its part of the old meatpacking district. You are close to Tivoli gardens but a good 15 minute walk from the main sights in the centre. When we first checked...

This was my second visit to this hotel and it was just as friendly and welcoming the second time. The rooms are small but stylishly decorated - this one was in blue tones and the previous room in purple. The decor makes the hotel feel very decadent and adds a boutique feel. The bedrooms are equipped with the essentials but...

My husband and I stayed for three nights just before Christmas, and can't fault the Absalon. Location-wise, it was perfect. We got the train from the airport, and the hotel is just two minutes' walk from the main station straight down a main road. Just the other side of the station is Tivoli Gardens and then from there, the whole...

Everything worked out very well from the check-in to the check-out. Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, good beds and overwhelming breakfast. We arrived around 8 am and we got the room at the check-in.Will surely stay there once again if in Copenhagen.

I booked 2 standard double rooms for one night over the Easter period. The hotel is located close to the train station, Tivoli and the city centre. The reception and bar area are well decorated, welcoming and clean. Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived early so we were given a swipe card so that allowed us access to the...

Stayed at Absalon Hotel while on business in Copenhagen. Found it to be a most convenient and comfortable modern hotel. The hotel is located in an area just west of the main train station in Copenhagen, an area with a number of hotels of different quality. The location is most convenient as it is close to the transportation center of...

We have arrived at 11:00 am after a long flight from Canada. The room was ready, quiet, extra bed already done for our Young daughter. The room was beautiful, calm, spacious and well decorated. We were allowed a room in the cosy yard. Breakfast was nice, but small. But eveything to start the day perfectly. 5 minutes to the train...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
