Stayed at the Absalon for4 nights over New Year. The hotel is ideally located - only 5 minute walk from the train station and most main attractions are easy walkable from the hotel. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and nicely decorated and covid measures were in place . Our room was on the small side but this didn't bother us The breakfast had a varied choice and was nicely presented, the hotel provided excellent value for money . Due to current Danish covid restrictions the sale of alcohol stops being served at 10pm - but this didn't stop us having a great NYEve.

Thank you very much for this positive review. What a lovely compliments for our service. The smaller rooms are very charming and functional for those who don't spend time in their room unless when sleeping. We have different room types that vary in size. I suggest booking a Family Room or a Superior Room to those who wish to stay in a more spacious room. It was a pleasure welcoming you as our guests and we hope to see you again in the future. Hotel's Favourite
The title of this review is ‘the most beautiful hotel I’ve even stayed in’ and it’s probably not to everyone’s taste, but I personally love how the interior of this hotel looks. Those vibrant colours are one of the main reasons why we chose to stay in it. The outside looks grand too. Since the appearance is 5* I’m pleased to say the experience of staying there was 5* as well. The staff were welcoming and professional upon our arrival. Check-in was extremely fast because we’d completed our form electronically beforehand. When we entered our room we found it to be in good condition and again, very beautifully decorated. The 5* touch though was to leave a card welcoming us by name to the hotel, as well as a small gift. The visit happened to be for our 10th anniversary so we found this to be really lovely. The breakfast was nice. I’ve become a drinker of fruit tea as a result of the delicious teas they serve. Next to the buffet area is the bar, which often had a happy hour during which the drinks prices were very reasonable for a hotel bar, or a bar in Copenhagen (or both). It’s also a wonderful place to sit and have a drink if you like the interior design like I say. In terms of other facilities we used, we were able to change some money at the reception without a charge, and similarly the luggage room was free. The location is excellent. The central train station is a five-minute walk away and there are numerous bars and restaurants within a five to ten-minute walk. The overall price was good value in this regard, when compared to the increase to stay for example in the centre of Amsterdam rather than the outskirts. Overall then I struggle to find a negative point to make. This hotel was amazing and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a fantastic place to stay in Copenhagen.

Thank you for this detailed feedback about your recent 5- star experience here in Absalon Hotel! It is an honor to be the most beautiful hotel you’ve ever stayed in. The hotel’s modern, vibrant décor by Designers Guild with details highlighting Danish “hygge” is certainly something unique and charming that we are proud to offer to our valued guests. Lovely to note that we were able to meet, if not exceed, your expectations and that you enjoyed your overall stay from the room décor, the breakfast and delicious organic teas, the hotel’s accessible location, and most of all, the service of our wonderful staff, our best asset. They are dedicated individuals who are always inclined to creating memorable experiences for our guests. They would be delighted that their hard work paid off and we are all looking forward for your next stay. Kindest regards, Joyce Ausan-Louv Guest Relations Officer Absalon Hotel

Fantastic interior everywhere throughout the hotel. Great and service minded personnel. Drawback are parking, bathrooms and breakfast. If your stay lasts several days the hotel can provide payed 24-hour parking in collaboration with Saga about 300m away. Estimate about 250DKK a day. Another possibility would be street parking for which you’d have to pay continuously besides holidays and Sundays. Bathrooms are quite ok but without the ability to adjust the temperature. And it got pretty chilly at times while showering. In addition to missing nobs to hang up the used towels. Breakfast is fair but pretty boring a long stay considered.

Dear 410katy Thank you for taking the time to write this review about your stay at Absalon Hotel. We are happy to hear that overall, you felt like the stay with us was fantastic and appreciate the kind words about the hotel’s interior and service from our amazing team. As our hotel is located right in the city center of Copenhagen parking is quite expensive. If you book directly with us, we offer parking for DKK 200 per 24 hours in a garage nearby and parking is always free on the street from 5pm Saturday until Monday morning 8am. For parking in Copenhagen in general, this is quite cheap. The hotel is located right behind the central station, so it’s always an option to park for free out of the city and take to train to the city center. As it’s an old building, the heating will sometimes let us down. We are sad to hear that you didn’t contact the reception regarding this matter, as we usually are able to fix this for our guests in one way or another. We appreciate the feedback on the missing nobs for the towels and the breakfast could use a bit more variation for long stays and will inform the right people regarding this. We really hope we get the chance to welcome you again in the future and hope you had a wonderful new year. Best regards, Maiken Jensen Guest Relations Team

My partner and I have just returned from a long weekend away in Copenhagen, we stayed 3 nights at the Absolan hotel. The staff were fantastic and were very helpful, the breakfast was simple bit more than enough. The hotel it's self is very clean and modern. My only gripe was the size of our room, it was very small, with half a wardrobe right Infront of the door when you walked in, as we didn't spend much time in the room wasn't a massive issue but I could see it being for others. The location of the hotel is brilliant 2 minute walk to the station and 5 to Tivoli gardens loads of bars and restaurants around the area.

Dear Andcaity Thank you for letting us know of your pleasant stay with us. It is always hugely motivating on our end to receive positive feedback about our team from our valued guests like you. The smaller rooms are very charming and functional for those who don't spend time in their room unless when sleeping. We have different room types that vary in size. I suggest booking a Family Room or a Superior Room to those who wish to stay in a more spacious room. The location of the hotel definitely is one of the major pros; conveniently located in walking distance to the main attractions, just by the central station for further exploring of both Denmark and Sweden, and nearby the Meatpacking district with numerous restaurants and galleries. We look forward to welcome you back on your next visit. Best regards Cathrine Johansen Guest Relations Team
