Stayed here for 5 nights - one night as a solo traveller only to be joined by my family the next day, so I had the chance to see two types of rooms. Both were very clean and tidy, with lively colours of the interior which was refreshing, and big windows that let in a lot of light. I must...

I was disappointed by this hotel. While it all looks pretty good, with a nice atmosphere, i was surprised to see a bed which was far from being clean. Absolutely not acceptable. If you also need an iron be aware that you'll be sent to the basement....

I've been lucky enough to have traveled a lot and therefore stayed in a lot of hotels. Without boring you to death, this is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. Put simply; Great location. Fair pricing. Brilliant rooms. Super quick WiFi Fantastic breakfast. Very laid back and easy going vibe. 2 of the VERY best...

I originally booked our trip to Copenhagen via Travelzoo but the advertised hotel was full on the dates we wanted to visit so the travel agent suggested the Absalon Hotel. We soon discovered why it's so highly ranked on Tripadvisor! We flew into the airport and easily discovered that the train station is in terminal 3 and Platform 2 takes...

Modern, clean and very central. Around the corner from the main train station. The rooms are small but functional with a large screen tv and a small fridge. The bathroom is tight but modern. Toiletries are limited to soap and body wash. There's no room service but the breakfast is great.

Great hotel near centre of Copenhagen. We arrived at central station from the airport and had a five minute walk to the Absalon. Reception greeted us in a friendly and efficient manner. The room was slightly small but very well laid out and proved functional. The hotel has been recently refurbished so smart throughout. Surrounded by good restaurants in all...

I found this in TripAdvisor and liked the pics and reviews, but looks and reviews can be deceiving. But not in this case. The staff were exceptional, our room was large and well appointed. The bed was really comfy too which is always a plus. My only really complaint was that the breakfast was so good I ate too much....

We visited with another couple and we all stayed at Hotel Absalon. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the Central Railway Station, Tivoli Gardens (unfortunately closed during our brief visit) and most of Copenhagen's attractions which are generally less than 30mins walk way. I would recommend taking the train from the airport and walking from the station to...

We originally booked our accom at The Andersen (across the road & owned by the same company), however only a couple of weeks before our stay we were told that it was under renovation & that we would be moved to the Absalon. We loved the Absalon however we would have appreciated more notice that we were being moved as...

We stayed 4 nights at the Absalon and enjoyed it very much. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast was included and, although it was only a continental breakfast, it was plentiful and delicious. Wait staff was also very pleasant and helpful. The decor was lovely. The location was within walking distance...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
