Very good and clean accommodation with a good location near the city center and train station. Is is more like a budget hotel than an hostel so don't expect a lot of interaction among guests. Had some trouble sleeping due to sharing a room with 5 men on the first night, but the people at the reception were very nice...

Pros: A wonderful location, within 10 minutes walk of Stroget. Fantastic views. Clean rooms and they no longer charge for linen rentals. Cons: terribly hard mattresses, could not sleep more than 30-45 minutes without the need to reposition. Able to hear noise easily through the walls.

First impressions are great. Very modern foyer, central location, one of the cheaper ways of staying in a very expensive city. Staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. It is obviously a hostel so don't expect lavish rooms kitted out with all mod cons, but the rooms were good sized, warm and with lots of storage. My only complaint was...

Dear Guest, Thank you for the review of our hostel. It sounds like you had a great stay, and we are glad to hear, that you would recommend us. Of course I will note the problem regarding the cleaning, so it can be passed on to the cleaning company. We hope that we get the change, to welcome you here...

I have nothing but good words for this hostel. It was very clean, excelent location ( 5 min of walking to the City Center and Tivoli amusement park) You pay extra for the linen, towels, iron, washing machine etc if you don't have your own with you. The staff is very polite and helpfull. They were always ready to help...

On arrival, Dan Hostel looks like a 3-star hotel, the reception and seating area with tablets and TV, and the well stocked bar with TVs. There was an excellent jazz combo in the bar during our stay which really brightened things up. However, once you exit the lift, everything gets pretty drab and the room itself was kind of disappointing....

A great place to stay when in Copenhagen, extra clean and with extra service, the staff is ok, maybe just a bit too proffesional... few simple words of welcome would be welcomed by a guest arriving alone to Copenhagen on a cold foggy day.

We stayed at the hostel just before Christmas. The hostel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to all the main attractions, staff friendly and hostel spotless. Really good value for money, one of the nicest hostels we have stayed in.

The details given regarding the room facilities and the features was all as expected. You got the choice to eat or cook if you want to do in the hostel but I didn't add into my bill because I only stayed at the accommodate for sleep time but they have all you need if you want to pay for it....

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
