We decided to do lunch at the Hotel away from the busy shops along the N1. The service was good and friendly and the food excellent. There is beautiful furniture in this hotel. just look around the dining room.

We stayed overnight at this establishment on the 6th of January 2017 and thank goodness it was only 1 night. As we have a small dog options are limited. Between the mosquitoes in abundance (not their doing granted) the use of single bathroom/wall light only, dirty carpets (pet friendly establishments shouldn't have carpets) and fleas I wouldn't stay here again...

Stopover from CT to Joburg, stayed in the deluxe room. Make sure to take your mosquito repellent, if you want any sleep. Overall stay was fine, lodge needs some maintenance, wall plaster peeling. Staff was friendly.

Stayed here for one night. Service was great, rooms are basic but well maintained. We had dinner and breakfast both very good. If you are a Mulva pudding fan like me try theirs it is home made and delicious. There is secure Parking available but not ideal if you are towing a long trailer. We stayed in a chalet across...

We have stayed at least 8 times at Hanover Lodge on our way to or back from Cape Town and have met two of the previous owners. The hotel certainly is not so well maintained by the present owner. The overall service was good, the floors and carpet has not seen soap and water for some time, the dinner and...

My partner and I needed a quick stopover for the night on our way back to Durban. At R700 for a chalet...we didn't expect luxury, but at least decent amenities. Firstly, the shower's drain was broken so we found ourselves standing in deep puddle after only showering for 2 minutes. Needless to say, the puddle hadn't drained the next morning....

The accommodation at Hanover Country Lodge is certainly not of the highest standard, but the character of the hotel (especially the pub) and the town as a whole, more than compensates. Service is friendly and prompt, and the food on offer is nore than acceptable. If you visit in the summer months, do pack mosquito repellent: they'll keep you up...

We usually stay in Three Sisters on our way from JNB to CTP but this time we opted for Hanover and what a great choice! The Hanover Lodge was brilliant. The staff was super friendly, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the bar was a blast (ask the bartender to sing you a song - he is incredible!)....

This is still a great stopover in the middle between Johannesburg and Cape Town. It is not a 5 star hotel, however, the rooms are clean with the necessary facilities. The food is good, like mom cooked at the farm, and the service is friendly. It was extremely hot in Hanover and the aircons did not work in the dinning...
