For one night stay, that is something you can do, because the location is great. Even though the staff is nice, we didn't find the hotel very pleasurable. The decoration is outdated and worn out. The breakfast is not bad but looking back I would prefer to go in one of the cool cafés.

Horrible place. I ended up changing rooms twice! The first room had stains and hairs on the bed, and the bathroom smelled absolutely horrible! The toilets were dirty and hadn't been flushed. After complaining to the receptionist, I receive a new keycard. I was struggling to unlock the room, until a man opens from the inside, looking just as confused...

The staff are amazing, friendly and accommodating. Ida from the Reception is extremely helpful, the lady in the breakfast cannot speak english but still accommodating and always smiling. The location of the hotel is very close to everything specially the Royal Palace, museums m, shops and bars. I will definitely stay in this place again. Highly recommended..

Best thing said is location - perfectly sited to see Old Town. But budget facility at best. Upon checkin, room was below street level, smelled, dank, had mold in bathroom, furnishings were old, rickety and spare, not enough towels, necessaries, etc. Pretty dour. Breakfast was poor. Easy access to street/alley though. However, upon complaint, desk guy was very understanding and...

Stayed 9 - 12 December, hotel is ideally located for the old town. The room was decent size but basic with no TV. The Wi-Fi is a good signal. We had a front facing room which gave a great view of the boats on the water and the neighbouring islands. There is underfloor heating in the bathrooms which helped as...

A no frills hotel with good location. Most of the staff are helpful particularly Amin who helped us to change to another room which is on the ground floor when a previous female staff did not tell us that there is a lift to a room on the 3rd level. Hot water is readily available from a dispenser at the...

The place is very small, but that means cozy too. The location is within 2 minutes walking to all that Gamla Stan has to offer. Let me say this again, GREAT LOCATION! The hotel includes wifi and breakfast. Don't expect 5 star quality, but for the location it is worth the 3 stars and the staff is super friendly. AWESOME!

If you are staying for one night and have no intention of anything other than sleeping in the room there this place is ok... Otherwise avoid! Had a private bathroom which was awful, desperately needs some form of updating. Room was ground floor and a decent size but that was the only positive. Rudest desk staff i have ever encountered......

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
