This hotel was really cute and we enjoyed it a lot. Breakfast was excellent. The location is quite good, close to bars but it is quite a walk to the center - my boyfriend thought it was nice to stay a bit outside but I would prefer to stay a bit closer - this is the only reason for not...

I had a good stay in Hotel Hansson in Stockholm. I stayed in the new side of the hotel - it's important to make sure you book your room for that side: the older side of the hotel is not as nice as the new one. The breakfast is good, staff is very friendly and helpful and location is good...

Hi and thank you for your kind words. We have free wifi in rooms when you book directly with the hotel. All other channels cost 99 kr extra per night.

It was the worst hotel I have ever been. The room was small, old, not cared of, the bed is miserable, the bathroom is dirty, miserable! Just take a look at the photos of the shower. Staff is OK but the manager is not a trusty person. Be careful. DO not stay here. There are plenty of hotels in Stockholm....

We have fantastic staff, great location and some bath rooms even come with a window. If you find Stockholm pricy during high season, please visit us in low season instead. Hotel Hansson has Classic rooms, Design rooms and Executive rooms. Classic rooms, related to this review are popular for their classic interior. Most of our guests appreciate the high ceilings,...

The best thing I can say about the hotel is the staff, they were really friendly , kind and helpful. The hotel was not really a 4 star hotel. No safebox in rooms, no minibar or refrigerator in rooms. Air conditioner was set by hotel and we can't change it,so rooms were very cold . Every were was old and...

The hotel is well situated, not far from Oden metro stop, The personnel and the service are impeccable. The room is quite old and in need of renovation, many furnitures are missing parts, they are of old quality. I was unable to find the fridge or may be it wasn't there. The bathroom is also in need of renovation, the...

We booked two nights for two couples in August before a Baltic cruise. We found the hotel charming (the photo on the site appears to be our room!), with beams running through the room. For Americans who aren't used to European rooms, things like having a quilt with cover only and no sheets, and lack of washcloths, are a bit...

Took us a while to locate but after when we got our bearings, all's easy thereafter to move around walking or in metro on the main road nearby.. Excellent front desk personnel, all ready to help....sorry didn't noted the names. Spacious room, love the wooden flooring of bygone days but need more cleanliness in the housekeeping please. Enjoyed the breakfast.....tho'...

Even though we had booked a room for 3 people, I was surprised to hear that there was an additional fee of 400 Krona per night for a separate bed for our child (reception said they assumed he'd be sleeping in the same bed as us!). The bed sheets were barely sufficient to cover each bed and frequently became unravelled...

For North Americans, staying in a hotel, that was built in the 19th century, gives you a funny feeling. However, rest assured - this is a modern building. Breakfast is out of this world - where, in North America, do you get 3 types of herring, for breakfast? The location is great - a quiet side street, but not far...

Brilliant little hotel in the heart of Stockholm. It's slightly old fashioned but comfortable and friendly. The food in the restaurant is varied and interesting, best Skaggin Toast ever. This was my third visit and won't be the last. It's a perfect refuge from a busy schedule but also a great base for exploring Stockholm. Well worth a visit.

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
