This was a lovely hotel within a 20min walking distance of the centre. Lovely spacious family room with two single fold up beds and a double. The bathroom had a sink, toilet and shower. Lovely traditional features in the room but no air con (which wasn't needed even though it was hot when we were there!). Breakfast was very busy...

The breakfast was quite good, our room was large and clean, unfortunately wifi was free only at lobby. The hotel wasn't very close to subway station,it was 5 blocks away, but you could walk to the centre if you would like,at about 15-20 minutes.

I think the issue with this hotel is that it is sold as 4 star accommodation but that doesn't apply to all the rooms. We unfortunately booked through Wotif's mystery 4 star hotel deal which gave us certain expectations. The room we were allocated was probably more 3 star and would have been fine if it had been cleaned and...

Claiming it is a proper 4 star will be a stretch, considering wi-fi charge in the room, no extra facilities, no iron available already at 20:00. On the other side, friendly staff that tries to help, OK breakfast, reasonably priced for Stockholm, overall OK for one or two business trips, not more.

the condition of our first room was absolutely not acceptable for us: everywhere dusty, defective bedsite table (drawer broke down) , stains on the fourniture, everything was dusty. as if the room was not be cleaned after the previous guest and the guests before. After claiming at the hotelier we get another room on the first floor. the room and...

Hi, and thank you for staying with us. I am grateful for all comments, approving and disapproving. Cleanliness is very important when you stay at a hotel, no matter the star grading. We are determined to get some fantastic feedback from our guests on this point in the near future. Till then, note that a lot of trees along Sveavägen...

Quite nice, old fashioned, good staff, quaint rooms. I've never before been in a hotel bedroom without a phone or any way of contacting anyone apart from feet. No mini bar (odd for a four star). I asked for a bath not shower and was given one but charged an extra £30 a night for the privilege. WiFi charged £25...

Thanks Jonathan King, I am happy you enjoyed your stay and that you paid for the up-grade to a Design room. Telephones are located behind the fold-down desktops, located below the TV in our Design and Executive rooms. We offer a great choice of bevereges in the restaurant. Sincerely,

This was our first stop in a three week trip to Europe. Hotel was sold as a 4 star and this is also noted at the hotel entrance, however, I wouldn't call it a 4 star in our country and I had expected something flasher. Our room was quite small and did feel a bit dated but the bathroom was...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
