The location of this intimate hotel is amazing. The 400 year old building is a true snapshot into Stockholms past. We had room #1, it was lovely. The bathroom was extremely small but certainly not surprising given the small footprint of the building. What made...More
The staff of this hotel with around six rooms and a small Café with the same number of little tables is very obliging. The bedroom with wooden beams was clean and furnished in white and grey-green... the doors and the bottom were sloping and the...More
We enjoyed a coffee during our stay in Stockholm here. The hotel with the cute little café is located in a small side street. The staff is very friendly. I firmly recommend to try some pastry here, the homemade raspberry pie was excellent.
Very small hotel with seven rooms only. Staff is absolutely friendly, delicious breakfast.
Oven though the hotel is in the centre of Gamla Stan, the very old heart of Stockholm, full of tourists places just round the corner, the rooms are really quite.
We feel so very lucky to have spent four nights at the very lovely Sven Vintappare Hotel.
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, where nothing was too much trouble. Very clean, beautifully decorated rooms with our own en-suite shower room, which was so calm and relaxing....More

Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.

Hi we recently did this trip too. Go to the train station at Arlanda airport and get the train to the central station. We bought our tickets at the information desk at the airport. Then from the central station, walk to the hotel. It's about 20 mins and very straightforward. Take a street map with you beforehand (airport info desk will give you one and also point out where your street is). Have a great time! We loved Stockholm and the hotel. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming!

Hi, I do not think so. It would surprise me if it is needed. It is Sweden; the hotel is surrounded by other buildings so the sun wil not shine directly into your room for long; windows can be opened; the walls are very thick. Have a wonderful stay!
