fantastic hotel and I recommend it ! Conveniently located along the E4 very cozy spa! the rooms were nice and clean! nice staff, comfortable beds! There is a charging box at the car park👍🏼 well-insulated rooms, pleasant reception on arrival
Nice hotel. Comfortable beds. Only thing is they need air conditioning. They did bring me up a fan to use. Pools were nice but I think it is a hotel more for adults to use the pool than children. Next time I might stay at another Nordic hotel more geared to kids for the pool
This is a hotel I highly recommend. Stayed here last year during the pandemic, rooms were fresh, clean and good distance, even in SPA area. This time when I came back I was not dissapointed. Still fresh rooms, clean and great SPA, good food. In the restaurant a little bit of distance, still. The one big minus was the young waitresses. Very civil, polite but when taking dishes from tables they did not clean it with a cloth. We had to tell them, "please clean the table before we sit down". Okey, tje waitresses were young but still...
Everything was perfect, one of my favourite hotels! Very well equipped and clean gym, amazing spa area as well as one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had! Our child loved the kidscorner next to the reception. The room was quite minimalistic but very clean design, we liked it alot!
The hotel is located next to a big route, meaning both noise and a drab view. The interior with industrial vibes is quite nice, though, but the standard room is a shoebox (17 m²). However, it was really easy to check in and out and access the room via their app. No need for room keys! The equipment of the room is minimalistic: no minibar, only hand soap and hair/body wash, no conditioner or body lotion, not to mention cotton pads, etc. In addition, one of our towels was unraveled. The breakfast with waffle and pancake buffet was tasty. The hotel has a spacious spa, but I would not recommend this place for a spa getaway; for me, it seems like an easygoing, family-style option for a short stay.
Good hotel and a very good staff. This hotel has so much potential but there are two huge minuses: 1. The “spa” is a nice place but it’s not for you who want to relax or have a nice calm place. It’s full of kids and it’s not an adult only spa. There was 8 kids running and screaming all over the place. Our “spa” experience was ruined. 2. The spa is only opened until 5pm on Sunday’s so they cramp many people on Sunday’s. Monday is closed for cleaning. A whole day. So if you’re here on a Monday you can forget to “relax” on the “spa”. Other than that, it’s great. A very big bonus for the free charging stations for electronic vehicles!
Stayed for one night prior to flying back to the UK. Hotel was very clean and well maintained but for me it was the attentiin I was given by the receptio staff that made this a 5 star review. Cecile was brilliant and really helped me with my paperwork. A great person
Stayed the night here with my wife. Excellent room, modern clean and tidy, good breakfast, but that’s where the good ends and the bad starts. We had a spa booking the next day (2 hour booking), stayed 35 minutes. The worst spa I have ever experienced. The 2 girls that were on the front desk were rude and sat there talked with each other the entire time we were there and did nothing. When we arrived there was no other guests in there, there was trash everywhere, broken showers in the main area, empty beer glasses in the sauna, half drunk/empty glasses scattered all over the spa around the pool seating, inside and outside. And to top it off, by the time we decided to leave, young kids everywhere wearing floatation devices and jumping into the pools. Absolutely unacceptable. It is clear that the staff on duty did not care about the guests and the environment with dirty glasses everywhere, trash etc. In the height of COVID-19, one would expect this to be a top priority to keep things clean. An okay stay but not much more. Pros: well-cleaned, excellent water pressure in the rainfall shower, free parking, good AC and a comfy bed. Cons: the bathroom flooded when you took a shower, the heating was poor, the food subpar and service mediocre. All in all, this is a good property if you ”need” to visit Linköping, but I would certainly not visit it for a SPA-vacation (as many guests seemed to do).
I was planning an eight hour drive and needed a place nearby the highway E4 to stay the night and continue driving the next day. I found the Box Hotel on Google maps, conveniently located nearby the highway so I booked a room for the night at Quality Hotel The Box not really knowing what to expect. I guess I was expecting like a motel experience.. But when I entered I was really surprised! The whole design of the hotel is rather nice actually. And the staff at the reception was very welcoming, serviceminded and friendly. The room was very nice and the biggest surprise turned out to be the restaurant! It was genuinely nice! Both in service and when it came to the actual food. The menu was actually better than many "ordinary" restaurants offer. Plus for the restaurant and the professional and courteous staff. Nothing on the minus-side. Will definitely stay here again!…
