Detailed Reviews
The hotel is really nice over all, new, fresh, high standard, nice historical building. Modern with contact less check-in, breakfast to order, Chromecast, etc. Everything worked great. Awesome beds too!
Really appreciated "Markan" where you can get coffee, carbonated water, store and heat food (microwave), at any time.
Most importantly, the staff was really helpful and made sure our stay was as good as it could be.
Inside tip: always get the home baked cake with breakfast (you can save it for later if you like), had two variants, both really great!

I wanted a hotel outside of the city centre with good car parking possibilities, and this place has it!
The history of the building being an old Artillery Officers Mess has been lovingly retained.
The rooms are really good with en-suite shower and wc.
Would book again if to stay in Linköping!

Convenient stay with the building and its surroundings dominated by its past military history. The hotel is housed in what used to be the central building of an army regiment (Livgrenadjärregementet, literally "the Life Grenadier Regiment") with solid and quite beautiful architecture from around 1910-1920. The hotel does all it can to expose and exploit the history of the building, with colonel portraits and soldier cottage signs decorating the walls and regimental histories (in Swedish) in the bookshelfs. I arrived late and left early, not meeting anybody from the staff, but they called twice before my arrival to make me feel welcome and and to tailor the breakfast to my wishes (no buffet, you have to decide the night before) which worked excellently (I recommend the granola). My room, with at least 3 meters to the ceiling and windows in two directions, was very spacious, and the wifi worked without any problems. The surroundings well conserve the old regimental buildings and layout. Some of the neighbouring buildings house the police department and the county court, so the area is quiet at night.

Do you remember those trips by bus witt football/volleyball/ice hockey team to small cities by bus and where you spent the nights then? This place has those vibes even though the standard is naturally higher than back then.
There are several plusses and minuses some of which might be minuses and plusses to some one else.
Plusses:
Big parking space
Spacious room (we had 2 bedrooms in one, the other room 2 bunk beds ie family on 6 would fit), also bathroom in good size and in good shape.
Clean and very quiet
Enough items in the breakfast preorder
Good communication even though no reception already before arriving to the hotel and a number to call if any problems (where they also switfly answer the call).
Beds in the adults room very comfy.
Temperature was ok.
Codes worked for doors unexpectedly well.
Minuses:
No traditional breakfast, needs to be preordered and comsumed in the room or small breakfast room.
The other room had no windows, maybe bit dark for some one (it’s an old vault).
Hotel kinda middle of nowhere, nothing nearby and even though the building is nice, the gravel parking lot in front of the hotel not too pretty.
Something new being built next to hotel, probably quite noisy on weekdays.
No elevator or traditional reception.
Temperature can’t be changed.
Parking costs also for hotel quests.
…and couple of additional points; earliest check-in at 5 pm (!) and leave by 11 am. Now, five pm….6 hours for the hotel to clean up the few rooms there are…this is just too late. 3 pm is nowadays the norm, why on earth at 5pm? I would imagine many travellers have small town like Linköping as one night stop and will appreciate the chance of having shower etc after a long drive before late afteenoon.
The breakfast room is small, but there is a small note in one of the tables saying there’s more space on the upper floor, it would be good to mention this somehere else as well. I didnt take notice and we had breakfast in the room since the breakfast room was filled with other guests. Also some environment concious person would have objections to the breakfast delivered to fridge in many many plastic small cups (I did not find recycling for plastic).
Take note when you leave the room, you need the code to lock the door also when leaving the room. Check the address, bit tricky to find the exact buildind of the hotel (many similar looking buildings near to each other).
All in all, this hotel suited the purpose we needed at decent price, but you need to consider if it’s for you or if something in the ”city” would suit better.

Very nice bed with fluffy pillows. Friendly reception. Nice and large rooms with an extra element and extra blanket if you are frozen. Calm and nice. Good breakfast. Large parking right outside the door. Close to the university. Affordable accommodation.

Everything is clean! Even pillows and mattresses feel fresh. We also appreciate their breakfast concept with ordering the day before and ready individual bags in the fridge in the communal kitchen the day after. All hygienically packaged!
We checked in easily and could just close the door behind us and leave the next day. The fact that the house is full of history enriched the stay even more. Pleasant and thorough staff.
The parking fee (SEK 90) in the public car park outside was a monkey, but they had informed about this on their website so we were prepared.
How to watch TV took a long time to figure out. Finally used Miracast and svtplay on my own mobile. But despite this, we will definitely spend the night here more times!

A very nice modern room with lovely beds in a beautiful old building. 1 real flaw was the breakfast. You had to order that in advance before 18:00 the day before (otherwise you just got what they chose for you) and that didn't go smoothly because the system was very confusingly unclear. Then you got what you ordered in very small portions with a piece of paper around it. That was waiting in a refrigerator in the hallway. If they had served a nice breakfast buffet style or not in the nostalgic restaurant it would have been finished. That's a shame.

Really good hotel room. Suddenly it happens, booked this because I wanted something cheap and simple for one night while traveling. So pleasantly surprised by the fantastic double room ET. The bed and pillows are the most comfortable I've slept in south of Luleå.
Really nice and homey! 😁
