Although it is supposed to be "central", it does requires from a quarter to twenty minutes walk to reach the very central part of town. Still, of course, it is not in the outskirts. The hotel is spacious and has plenty of rooms to offer in different wings. The reception is welcoming and the staff professional and friendly. The room I had was perfect size, with all the needed essentials. A good desk, an armchair, space for jackets, the bag. From what I remember the wardrobe was very essential and didn't have much of shelves. I suppose they do not expect people to stay too long. The bathroom was of a decent size, with good space and surfaces and all I needed for a shower, including an hair dryer. The bed was comfortable, but the main problem was that the room lacked AC. The first night I didn't realize that, as I did hear some "mechanical ventilation" in the room (which turned out to be the bathroom one only) and it got warm very quickly. Luckily the windows can be open, but it makes the temperature very uneven and maybe in the coldest nights it is not the best solution. It was also quite disturbing with the door for the corridor quite close to my room, slamming heavily. The breakfast was the high point - I could spot a broad selection of food, although more nordic oriented. I would have appreciated a touch of organic food, if not local, more interesting tea and nicer juices. They seem very industrial and some lack taste. The bread was instead fresh and genuine. It could be quite crowded during breakfast time, but not an impossible situation to solve. I noticed though that my room and the area around the elevantors, felt a bit outdated, torn. My room was definitely very nicely cleaned (although it didn't get clean during my stay) but it was very standard in the quality of the materials and the appearance. Alltogether a perfectly ok stay. The price was not too high, but definitely not on the cheapest side either, but I think reasonable for the location and the quality.…
Quiet area, easy access by car. But, homepages said parking was included.. Partly correct.. Luckily we got the last parkingspot in a small narrow garage with only 180 cm clearing. There was others after us that didnt get free parking. No AC, but windows could bu opened. All in all a good room. Very good breakfast. Ok for the price...
Located in central Linköping this hotel offers affordable accomendation without any querks. Stayed for one night due to work. The staff was serviceminded and welcoming and the room was totally ok. The restaurant had a buffet-style dinner available which also was ok. No problem getting coffe at 5:30 in the morning though the breakfast actually started at 6:30. Plus for getting me coffe that early! Really nothing on the minus-side. Would stay here again!
Just need a bed for the night? Then this place might work. If you’re looking for anything extra, you won’t find it here. Bring your own hair dryer, your own bathroom products and your own water and snacks. The breakfast? Not much to write home about...
This hotel used to be one of the best hotels in Linkoping. It was extremely sad to see such a rundown hotel. The breakfast was so poorly we had to have our breakfast somewhere else. We understand the limitations in current Covid-19 situation but other hotels offer descent breakfast alternatives. The hotel had holes in the walls in the corridors, many broken handles and it was dirty, dusty and smelly. The actual room was lacking of storage facilities. Also, the restaurant was entirely shut down. The reception staff were the only positive experience during our stay, both at check-in and check-out.
The hotel has friendly staff. Good and attentive staff. Restaurant staff are good. The hotel needs good restaurant 👍 for evening meals. Swedish seafood menu would be nice. Good snacking area too in the hotel.
+ Surprisingly spacious room in comparison to other hotels I've been at in Sweden. The bathroom was also spacious! + Good breakfast buffet. + well-known restaurant at the hotel that serves both lunch and dinner (didn't visit it myself this time) - No kettle in the room, no fridge and the hairdryer barely functioned and had an awful sound as it was going to explode any moment. - They had shuflboard, table-tennis and foosballstable however the standard of the shuflboard wasn't the best and the table-tennis was very smal. This is not something you would expect from a 4 star hotel and take >100 euro/night.
Very hot room no air condition and the air flow was very poor air was stuffy. Bed gave of spring coil sounds. No room service from restaurant. My electric car could not be charged since the place for it would only suite a extremely small car like Renault Zoe or similar.
We stay at the hotel as it is walking distance or direct bus to our son's flat. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the rooms are clean We enjoy the breakfast. One of the best things is being given the chance to say no to daily room clean and a donation being made to UNICEF in return. Wish more hotels did that.
2nd time for me to stay at the Ekoxen. just good clean rooms friendly people, breakfast was top. walking distance to the centre of linkoping.when I visit linkoping again will defently go for the Ekoxen hotel.
