Although it is supposed to be "central", it does requires from a quarter to twenty minutes walk to reach the very central part of town. Still, of course, it is not in the outskirts.
The hotel is spacious and has plenty of rooms to offer in different wings. The reception is welcoming and the staff professional and friendly.

The room I had was perfect size, with all the needed essentials. A good desk, an armchair, space for jackets, the bag. From what I remember the wardrobe was very essential and didn't have much of shelves. I suppose they do not expect people to stay too long.

The bathroom was of a decent size, with good space and surfaces and all I needed for a shower, including an hair dryer.
The bed was comfortable, but the main problem was that the room lacked AC. The first night I didn't realize that, as I did hear some "mechanical ventilation" in the room (which turned out to be the bathroom one only) and it got warm very quickly. Luckily the windows can be open, but it makes the temperature very uneven and maybe in the coldest nights it is not the best solution.
It was also quite disturbing with the door for the corridor quite close to my room, slamming heavily.

The breakfast was the high point - I could spot a broad selection of food, although more nordic oriented. I would have appreciated a touch of organic food, if not local, more interesting tea and nicer juices. They seem very industrial and some lack taste.
The bread was instead fresh and genuine.
It could be quite crowded during breakfast time, but not an impossible situation to solve.

I noticed though that my room and the area around the elevantors, felt a bit outdated, torn. My room was definitely very nicely cleaned (although it didn't get clean during my stay) but it was very standard in the quality of the materials and the appearance.

Alltogether a perfectly ok stay. The price was not too high, but definitely not on the cheapest side either, but I think reasonable for the location and the quality.

Located in central Linköping this hotel offers affordable accomendation without any querks. Stayed for one night due to work. The staff was serviceminded and welcoming and the room was totally ok. The restaurant had a buffet-style dinner available which also was ok. No problem getting coffe at 5:30 in the morning though the breakfast actually started at 6:30.
Plus for getting me coffe that early!
Really nothing on the minus-side.
Would stay here again!

Quiet area, easy access by car. But, homepages said parking was included.. Partly correct.. Luckily we got the last parkingspot in a small narrow garage with only 180 cm clearing. There was others after us that didnt get free parking. No AC, but windows could bu opened. All in all a good room. Very good breakfast. Ok for the price...

Just need a bed for the night? Then this place might work. If you’re looking for anything extra, you won’t find it here. Bring your own hair dryer, your own bathroom products and your own water and snacks. The breakfast? Not much to write home about...

This hotel used to be one of the best hotels in Linkoping. It was extremely sad to see such a rundown hotel. The breakfast was so poorly we had to have our breakfast somewhere else. We understand the limitations in current Covid-19 situation but other hotels offer descent breakfast alternatives.
The hotel had holes in the walls in the corridors, many broken handles and it was dirty, dusty and smelly. The actual room was lacking of storage facilities.
Also, the restaurant was entirely shut down.
The reception staff were the only positive experience during our stay, both at check-in and check-out.

The hotel has friendly staff. Good and attentive staff. Restaurant staff are good. The hotel needs good restaurant 👍 for evening meals. Swedish seafood menu would be nice. Good snacking area too in the hotel.

Deeply disappointed in this hotel. We arranged for a speaker at our campus to stay at the Ekoxen during her visit. While we were out to dinner, someone entered her room and stole her laptop computer. When our speaker discovered her computer was missing and brought this to the attention of hotel management, their response was that sometimes the doors to the rooms appear to shut all the way but don't actually lock. They took no further responsibility for the theft and told our visitor to take the matter up with the police if she wanted. My issue with the hotel is that they knew about the problem with the doors but had taken no action to fix it or to inform guests about it *in advance of* their personal goods being stolen.

I used this hotel on a very regular basis some 10-15 years ago, and I have not been back until tonight. I remembered this as being a decent four-star hotel with high aspirations. However, as others have pointed out this hotel has definitely passed its peak. It looked downright gloomy coming into the reception. Eventually I got my key and made my way to the room. Actually, finding your room in this maze is no small feat. On my way, I walked through some public areas that looked really nice way back when, but I can only surmise that not a single cent has been spent on maintenance since. The room itself is average, at best, and it looks refurbished in the past few years. I did get a great rate, so that is definitely on the plus side, but next time I am in Linköping, I will gladly pay a little bit more and get a more positive experience.

Stayed for one night in June at this hotel to be close to the central town. It showed to be a good choice. Room was nice and tidy with enough space, the hotel was ok, even if restoration work was going on. There was also a chance to have your car in the hotel garage meaning you did not have to empty it before leaving it.
We were a bit disappointed that the restaurant was closed Sunday evenings, but the distance to town centre made up for that. Breakfast quite ok.
Staff was very friendly and helpful both when booking and when we arrived.
We do recommend this hotel which is in town centre but a bit outside making you feel a bit in the countryside really.

We stayed at this hotel when attending a conference in Linköping. It was located a bit far from the train station, but not too far for a walk. On arrival (evening) we were hungry and asked at the reception if we could get anything to eat. But they could only offer beverages (alcohol) at the bar. Not even a sandwich!! This was disappointing as their homepage claims they have a restaurant (and we naturally supposed this would be open at eight-nine in the evening). My room was located two elevator-trips away and it was ok, nothing more. The whole hotel felt very outdated, and the restaurant-area smelled of old beer and party. The breakfast was ok though! But the coffee was boring. We stayed for two nights. It would have been better if the staff had been more helpful, and had not made us feel like annoying guests when we asked about food and directions.

Hi Katrin. Thanks for your feedback regarding your stay with us earlyer in januari this year. I would like to express my regrets to you. Its very clear that you were not satisfied with your visit with us. Obviously, our aim is to offer all our guests a stay of high quality. This applies to both supply and service. Unfortunately, we fail to live up to it in your case, and it is especially regrettable when it comes to basic service range. We always offer food and drink at certain times of the day. During the off-season, we always offer sandwiches, salads and soft drinks at the reception if the restaurant is closed during to low seasons business. I will certainly look into this and ensure that we keep an high standard supply and service dispite seasons. Once more thank you very much for you feedback Katrin. With Kind Regards Antonio Dacosta
