Hotel Lanterna is a small hotel in the renovated harbour area within a short walking distance of the center. We had a room facing the street but it was quiet at night. We found our stay to be nice but not exceptional.

We have been here four times its amazing in all areas and has a lovely chilled Scandinavian vibe. The hotel has a brilliant location near all the bars and restaurants and is a stones throw to the harbour. The Lanterna is spotless and the breakfasts are wonderful. It was far more difficult for us to get there as direct flights...

Everything was perfect! Very friendly and helpful staff, big rooms and very clean! There is always warm coffee and biscuits to enjoy either inside the Hotel or outside in the small garden. Good location too, near the harbor and the castle and just minutes walk from the centre!

This is a small simple hotel in a newly built red painted wooden building behind an existing harbour building (now bar) in the recently renovated harbour area which is a short walking distance of the town center along a charming riverside path. The area is a popular evening sunset location and there are a few good restaurants and bars to...

I cannot recommend the Lanterna enough the place is a gem. The Hotel has a very Swedish feel and has a very peaceful and relaxing vibe. The breakfasts were simple but delicious and plentiful we both really enjoyed the food and the classical music in the background followed by a coffee in the garden or greenhouse. Location wise it is...

It is the second time that I come to this small family hotel in the harbour area of Nyköping. This makes a nice stay for those arriving with evening flights to the nearby Skavsta airport. The building is one of this typical deep red -painted, swedish wooden houses. The inconspicuous outside hides a cosy and welcoming, warmly decorated interior. There...

It was difficult to find a room in Nyköping, but we managed to find this little gold mine. The people there were so nice and helpful. The place was really clean too! Breakfast was ok, nothing spectacular but definitely passed. I would recommend anyone who passes through Nyköping to visit this place

I booked two nights in September using venere.com on August 16th. According to terms of the booking I could cancel up to 24 hours before the reservation date. The hotel was not to charge my card until I arrived. On August 19th the hotel charged for my stay. On August 24th I cancelled the reservation. Since then I have tried...

We've just stayed 1 week in Stockholm: business and vacation. Loved the city, the people, the food. What a great surprise the food was. For our last night we decided to head south to Nykoping just 7 Km away from our conecting airport. The idea was to have a glimpse of Sweden countryside. The hotel we chose, the Lanterna hotel,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Lanterna is situated in the beautiful harbour area of Nykoping. You will be right on the waterfront but only five minutes walk from the town centre. Our family-owned hotel opened the doors in March 2008, but the interior has been designed in the charming old style of the turn of the last century. Each room has its own character with tastefully selected furnishings and colour scheme. Hotel Lanterna is ideal if you are arriving at or leaving from Stockholm Skavsta Airport.
