Description on website truly represents what you will be getting. Welcoming reception. Though oldest hotel in Gothenburg, interior is in immaculate shape, and rooms are neat and tidy. Slept well, with good beds. Bathroom is small, with tiny shower, but all very modern and squeaky clean. Breakfast was excellent. Only downside I can think of is that view from room... More

Classy place. Welcoming reception. The property has been described well in previous reviews. Room 362 was adequately equipped, and warm enough on a chilly evening. Free coffee, tea and biscuits downstairs. Conveniently located, close to central station. Good bed but pillows too soft for my liking - unsure whether they have alternatives.

Fantastic historic charm with all the modern amenities. interesting art throughout the building, a totally gracious and attentive staff and each room is uniquely decorated to reflect a sense of an historic landmark that had been carefully planned for the comfort of the modern traveller. Great, convenient location adjacent to transportation and easy walking.

We were overall very satisfied, the interior and the breakfast was very good, we loved the free tea and cakes. I would improve the cleanliness of the hotel rooms as we had a lof of dust and hair under the beds.

This is a lovely hotel. Central but not noisy at all. Really helpful, friendly staff. We had a great time here, would definitely recommend. The room was comfy and warm. Breakfast self service with plenty of choices. Overall fabulous.

The oldest hotel in Gothenburg, this is also one that has a very charming and personal atmosphere. If you're looking for a boring huge hotel where every hotel around the world looks the same, with new staff every time you visit, stop reading here. This is a beautiful little hotel with staff who is genuinely interested in their guests, and... More

I didn't realize that this is the oldest hotel in Gothenburg, and was pleasantly surprised to find out. Overall, this is one of the best stays I've had in my travels. First, the staff are extremely friendly and courteous. They always offer you free tea, coffee, and cake, and these were all of high quality (very fresh and with quality... More

I visited Gothenburg and stayed at the hotel with a couple of my American relatives, and we had a great stay all three of us. Large rooms and comfy beds, very well kept, a nice sitting area outside in the backyard, free coffee and cake in the reception area, wonderful breakfast and very helpful staff. And of course in the... More
