It happened that we should stay this hotel at Varkaus one day. As looking, it is quite old motel type hotel with many rooms in different located buildings. Inside of hotel is same as expected, simple medium room with old TV set, wood furniture and so-so bed. Actually we tried to cancel them after seeing it, but office lady was...

We booked this hotel because it was close to our relatives, and spent three nights there. During this whole time the hotel room was not cleaned - not even the trash was taken out. We did get a very small compensation for this when we complained about it. They have an interesting concept where your room is supposed to be...

We booked a family room via booking.com, 2 adults and a baby. Our room was outside of the hotel in separate building. All the buildings are old, but not in a cool way. It's like an episode of Gordon Ramsey's hotel Hell, Gordon's voice in your head asking questions why there are old lonely furniture wondering around public facilities. Nothing...

We stayed one night at Spa Hotel Kuntoranta with our two small kids. The hotel lobby was a depressing sight with old people sitting idle and waiting for nothing in an uncomfortable socialist style building. The staff was careful not to greet us or smile at anyone. Room was relatively tidy but a horribly looking and with old furniture. Luckily...

I choose this hotel by accident and I really regretted it. Everything is old inside and it's smells it. The room is very basic but very old, old furniture, old fashion TV with only 5 TV channels and doing a boring and annoying noise. I've never seen a so dirty TV remote control, I didn't even want to touch it....

I stayed for one night during our gig in Varkaus. This place was booked by our host. We were 28 people (20 children), and this place is not for our kind of group. This place is for seniors. Plus side this place has very nice surroundings with lake, park, forest and other possibilities for outdoor activities. Rooms are old and...

Few kilometres outside the centre Varkaus is situated this Kuntoranta hotel. We went there in the evening, and got such a lovely service! Tho the rooms are a bit oldfashioned, they were clean and neat. The spa and pools seem to be newer, and kids enjoyed a lot the long waterslide! Good for families, well located in order to make...

We stayed a week here during the camp of childrens at the city. Hotel was fully book and there is a camping area that was also packed with tents and travelhomes. It was suprising that the bar and terrace was only kept open until 21:30 in the evenings when they finally had customers?!?! This did not change even we asked...

“You have to go outside to get to the rooms. For many rooms you have to walk 'miles' and open dozens of doors! Rooms 100-120 are closer.”
