I have been twice in Sofia culturecenter. Both times overnight. The hotelrooms in c-building are oldfacioned and you can hear voices from other rooms quite clearly. But! The food is excellent. Lunch and dinner are so delicious! Breakfast is quite simple but you must try lunch or dinner. Tastes are worth trying.

We booked this hotel because we were unable to find accommodation in the centre of Helsinki. The word "hotel" suggests more than it is, which seems to be some sort of institution/ conference centre which is trying to be a hotel. It is a long way from Helsinki which makes it more expensive to reach from the airport ( no...

Our office has had training sessions in this place. The food is healthy and very good. Sauna department is also fine. The accomodation has been a disappointment. The rooms are worn-out, walls thin and beds very narrow. The bathroom is also outdated. I have been to better places.

Sofia locates a bit far away from central Helsinki. It is close nature, and you do noy hear traffic noise. Rooms are nice. In a bathroom, if you use shower, whole floor is wet. Heating is too strong and rooms are hot. Rooms are in three different houses, and you have to walk outside from a room to a breakfast...

Reason: The cheapest hotel close to Helsinki and possibility to get to it in short time. Location: In the wood, close to the coast. Beautiful surrounding what is welcoming to walk around. Room: We had a calm and very very simple room in sector C. I think it is very difficult to stay at such room for long time. The...

I had a business meeting here that lasted for about a week. It is located at the outskirts of Helsinki, about two and a half kilometers from the Vuosaari Nordsjo subway station so getting a taxi to get there is advisable (about 12 Euros) although one can get into a bus close to the subway station that stops right at...

Sofia is a really old hostel-like 2-star hotel. Location is in a beautiful seaside scenery remote from everything. Rooms are very aged and are lacking the sound proofing totally. I don't recommend Sofia for individual travellers. if you are travelling with corporate group and need meeting facilities, Sofia is a low-end option.
