I have been coming to la Finca for many years and had never used this hotel, last night there was a singer in the bar and friends invited me and my wife along . I arrived and noticed our table had garden plastic chairs , so I swapped them with two more appropriate ones from a empty table … well I wasn’t expecting that kind of reaction from the waitress!!!! Shouting at me …”Why you change the chairs” … I went on to explain to this very aggressive female waitress that my wife has a bad back and that it would be a better chair for her … She began waving her hand at me in a dismissive manner and stormed off … I took offensive to this unnecessary attitude and so when she came past again confronted her… “ I no speak English “ is what I got from her … no problem… I speak Spanish, and so went on to tell her that her attitude and manner was appalling, rude and unprofessional… at this point we left and took our euros elsewhere as did our friends.. her loss !! I have since found out she wasn’t a waitress, but is actually the proprietor 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I found the staff very rude at this establishment which is a shame as I could have been a regular customer as I live in Algorfa . Maybe the waitress was having a bad day , who knows but when you work in hospitality you must leave your problems at the door

The hotel Is exceptionally clean? The staff are very welcoming. The breakfast is exceptional service of the room is exceptional I do not give. 5-star credits too many hotels, I had to be there. For a family issue. And I stay there initially. And then brought other family members in and they could not fault the service. The hotel is secure. Disabled friendly they are very caring. And human beings I respect them and I will stand by this credit. I am giving to them.

Lovely Spanish village, square and surrounding area maintains Spanish feel, good choice of eats and drinks in and around area, in village and up in la Finca the nearby resort there's a golf course and a mix of English bars and restaurants, drive to the coast 30 mins to Guadamar from Alicante airport 45 mins straight down AP7 motorway

We have just purchased a property around the corner from the hotel and had looked forward to spending quite a bit of time there in the future, we called in for a drink, I sat outside while my husband went in and ordered 2 drinks and pointed to our table telling the barman where we were sitting, He muttered something and my husband said if your too busy to bring the drinks over it's ok, I can wait and take them myself, the barman said yes, to wait and take our own drinks over, it wasn't really that much of an issue for us, but certainly seemed like it was an issue for the barman who was "too busy" ... there was only 5 other people there, so not sure how he would be if the establishment was full. We went back that night for a meal and have to say we both agreed we will never purchase another meal there again.I ordered grilled chicken and chips, it was delicious and chicken was cooked to perfection, it didn't look much on the plate though as the one cherry tomato and slice of cucumber sat there alongside it just looked sparse, hubby ordered a ham pizza and to say it was awful was an understatement, it was obviously a boxed frozen pizza, having said that, not sure what we expected really, just didn't expect to be served a frozen pizza in a restaurant. As soon as we finished our meal we asked the waitress for the bill, she did manage a smile and after 10 - 15 minutes of watching one of the staff sitting at the end of the bar talking to the girl that we had asked for the bill we thought maybe she hadn't heard us asking for the bill.A gentleman went to the bar and asked for his bill and only then did the girl flip her head to the side towards us telling the other girl to get our bill while she was there, I'm guessing they didn't like our faces or something as she then came over and dumped it on the table, not sure what was going on with all of the staff. The meal itself was cheap enough, but can understand why, the layout is nice, the views are lovely, but from now on we will just walk it over to la finca for some nicer food and better service.Maybe the staff were just having a bad day ( we all get them) but when it puts people off going back this is a problem.Owning a business here in the uk I can understand that things happen and customers can be rude at times, I totally get why staff can be a little off with customers every once in a while , but we were very courteous and polite, I guess they just didn't like the look of us, we are definitely not two people who go out of our way to pick fault with service or quality of food, but felt justified in leaving this review ( all my other reviews can tell you we always leave excellent feedback)
