This is now called the Finn Hotel (on their sign and in guidebooks). I stayed here on a whim while traveling around the West Fjords. It turned out to be the perfect spot! Ok, you can accept it if you are coming from some camping. But if you look at the tub, and you see that the bottom is black from the dirt and the old age, you will know that you have not chosen a good place for the night. The forniture is old, in my room ther was a dusty old...

Please take the time to stop in this wonderful town. The Borgarbraut is a fantastic spot from which to base your exploration of the area. The proprietor organizes boat trips out to see seals, Atlantic puffins, eider, and so many more birds, and the islan of Grimsey. We hiked in the mountains and went to hot tubs beside the ocean....

Lovely new owner. Good kitchen and bathroom facilities but the place seemed a little shabby. The owner is refurbishing in winter '08 and was very helpful with maps and advice on exploring the Strandir coast.
