We were stranded at the airport after missing a connection and the airline booked us into the Hotel Keiler. While the room was a bit Spartan (albeit very clean and comfortable), the staff more than made up for that by being incredibly accommodating to us and going out of their way to make us feel at home in a difficult...

Was sent here by Thomson as our flight was delayed till the following day. Not a hotel that I would stay at by choice. Situated at what could only be described as an Industrial estate, in an area with very few facilities. Our room was ok but reminded us of a hospital room as it was very clinical. Had an...

Dear Terry C. First of all I want to thank you for your time to write this review. But I'm truly sorry that you didn't like your stay with us. We offer a high class accommodation in Keflavik, and always try to do our very best for our guests. You described the surrounding of the hotel as an 'Industrial estate'....

I run photography tours in Iceland so use a lot of hotels. This is my favourite hotel by far in Keflavik. The owner Bryndís is such a wonderful host and always very welcoming to my clients. The rooms are spacious and very clean with ensuite and TV. I do not post recommendations very often but this is the only hotel...

Ive stayed in some of the best hotels in the world with work but my personal pocket doesn't stretch that much. Over all i was happy with the low budget hotel. Some of the staff were really nice and friendly, others needed to learn to smile and be happy to the people paying their wage. I would happily stay there...

Absolutely exhausted after hours of travel and the airline missing our flight. Very little is happening in Keflavik but on the weekend night I got new sleep. A night club was in full affect and the street noise was crazy. No one seemed to be staying the hotel so not sure why the put me in this crap room. They...

Please ignore the people here criticising this hotel after their flight was cancelled. I and my family were in the same position - yes it was frustrating, but people were taking it out on the poor woman from this hotel (and are doing so again here on TripAdvisor) despite the fact that she had opened the hotel especially for the...

My family and and I had the misfortune of being stranded in Iceland at the end of a perfect holiday. Weather conditions meant our EasyJet flight was cancelled. We were put on a coach to an unknown destination and ended up at Hotel Keilir. It's a basic hotel but the service, under extremely trying circumstances was second to none. I...

Take notice of the negative reviews- I would question the authenticity of positive reviews for this hotel. Ithas to be the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The female (owner?) of the hotel was very rude and moaned constantly about the guests. She is clearly in the wrong business as she dislikes tourists with a passion. She did nothing...
