Picked this guesthouse due to central location and price. We did not use the kitchen facilities but they appeared to be excellent and the best room in the house. We did not check out the back patio as it was cold and rainy. Met some nice fellow travelers. My husband struggled with the upstairs shower a bit as it is... More

This is a wonderful, family-owned guesthouse right next to Hallgrimskirkja (the big church on the hill). You are in a real home, with full access to kitchen and laundry, and an impeccably clean, beautifully appointed place with new art work to observe at every turn. You can walk just about anywhere in the city very easily, and it's easy to... More

They should be required to mention that "shared bath" means one tiny bath shared by nine people. Do the math and figure out how long you could have to wait while listening to lobbying from other guests about why they should go before you (you know my husband does have irritable bowel syndrome), or plan your bathroom time for 2:30... Dear revilorc. First I must say that I am disappointed that you are disappointed. However I feel obliged to answer you to simply tell you and others how I personally viewed this whole situation. We have 3 bahtrooms on 3 levels for MAX 16 people total - so your math is a bit off here. If you really needed to... More

Stayed for one night with a friend but would have stayed longer. The room was really clean. The house was cute and I really liked the back patio. It's also in a great location to get to the town centre. Wish I'd found it earlier.

The location is excellent and the room was nice and quiet plus bathroom close by--one bath per floor. The kitchen was spacious and reasonably appointed. a couple of things to note though...For those with aching knees, you should not stay here if you have issues with steep narrow stairs. OR you could ask for the first floor room (there is... More

First plus is a great location. This guesthouse is one block from Hallgrímskirkja, the huge church that dominates the skyline from the top of the hill. It makes a great landmark so you can always find your way back to the guesthouse. Plentiful restaurants in the area, along with an easy walk down the hill to the harbor. We fit... More

No reception and entry is via a code box to acquire a key. Large kitchen/dining area with all necessary utensils but no common lounge. Bedroom was clean and beds comfortable. Shared bath. Parking is at a church parking lot a short distance away. Very good for the price.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our 2 week trip to Iceland. It could not have been in a more perfect location! It is located within walking distance to all the sights you'll want to check out in the heart of Reykjavik. The quiet street out front had free street parking, and was just steps from the front door,... More

I stayed at Loki for one night and was very comfortable. There was an issue with getting into the place though. I never received an email directly from Loki with the door code (I've checked everywhere including spam) so had to call and ask for them to resend it. They did, there wasn't a code. When I arrived, I was... More

The guesthouse is a small 3 floor house with a small backyard. Our room was on the top floor and it was very quite even though we were next to the cathedral. The bathroom was very clean. The host weren't there so we had to figure out how to get in but some other guest opened the door for us... More
