Beds were comfortable, from hotel easy to reach the city, a little more than 20 minutes by walking. Hot water smells like spa water.According to Reykjavik standards it Is a cheap hotel.breakfast was good.

Very reasonable price. Clean rooms and a full buffet for breakfast. Don't let the outside look of the building give you a false imprecion. Reception very friendly and helpfull. Location is easy walking distance from BSI bus terminal and to down town.

We did the ring road tour and Reykjavik was our final visiting stop. We booked Guesthouse Borgartun for its comparative price and free parking. The staff was very friendly, but the hotel is bit old. The breakfast was very basic, and the location is bit far from the town center. If you don't have a car, I don't recommend you.

We stayed for one night to visit Reykjavik and not to be too far from the city centre. Good things are free breakfast, free parking and a quiet area. Bad things are the general cleanliness-we had hair on our towels, the bathroom was not clean at all. The water in the shower stinks-same smell as when you go to the...

We booked a fairly costly holiday in Iceland and were slightly taken aback by the hotel. There was no reception on the ground floor, so we had to take a lift up to the third to collect our keys from a lovely manager with blonde hair and kind eyes. There was no offer of help for one of our party...

Needed an additional night to complete some business in Reykjavik and unfortunately the 1st class hotel I was in was oversold - as were about 95% of the hotels in Reykjavik on August 14th. Was referred to the Borgartun by a business colleague and was cautioned - "It's a bit of a step down from what you normally stay in"....

We wanted cheap overnight accommodation, close to the main road network into/out of the city with free parking and within walking distance of centre. This fitted the bill perfectly. Pretty sure its been a 4 story office building with the top 2 floors converted into a guest house - with the other 2 floors still offices! Weird set up and...

The best part of this guesthouse was the location as you could walk to most sites in Reykjavik. The building outside is not appealing, but the rooms were simple, bright and relatively clean. The staff was nice and helpful and the breakfast was the typical breakfast served in most guesthouses in Iceland (meat, cheeses, breads, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juice)....

We had three points when choosing the rooms in Iceland: breakfast included, free parking and ensuite bathroom. This place had all of them. Great location, free parking, only 20 minutes walking to the Harpa on the seeshore. In nice weather (we had sunshine) it is a real fun. The room was big enough, with basic amenities. You get what you...

Looks are fairly deceptive here. We only used this as an overnight stopover, although we would have been content to stop for longer. It is basic, but clean. The staff were friendly & helpful. If you're after luxury, look elsewhere, but if you want low cost & good value it's excellent.

Thank rihill
