The room was neat and clean. After seeing the rooms with the small kitchette and bath, I would definite pay the extra money. It was right near the cathedral where we meet our tour group. Also, there is a great bakery called Braud across from the cathedral, and a good lunch place called Cafe Loki nearby.

I attempted to book this guesthouse through its website in February for a two-night stay in August 2017. Within 24 hours I received an email saying there was availability and asked for a credit card to confirm. I immediately sent the requested information. I have yet -- two months and seven emails from me later -- to receive a confirmation...

We arrived when the sky turns dark. Hence it took us a while to find the place. Look out for the unit number and walk in. We got a room with private toilet. Microwave was available in this room which allows us to heat up food. The host is very friendly and gave us many tips! The breakfast was good!...

We recently stayed at the Eric the Red guesthouse in Reykjavik and we were delighted with the ease and charm with which our hosts, Runar and Edda, made us feel right at home and gently smoothed out all inconveniences without once intruding on our privacy or sharing too much information about themselves! When we arrived early in the morning of...

Edda & Runar made you feel like you was part of their family and were helpful in always to make your stay perfect. Located close to everything for walking distance. The breakfast was good with lots of nice things to eat each morning. All the coach tours picked you up and dropped you off outside the door.

We were delighted by the room, comfortable beds, cozy and art filled home and best of all, wonderfully friendly hosts (including a truly charming cat we fell in love with!) The breakfast spread in the morning was delicious and we enjoyed chatting...

I stayed in this guesthouse as a solo traveller and I really liked it. The location is ideal beside the big church, it is easy to find a short stroll to the main shopping street. The cat was cute, the breakfast was nice and the bed was comfy. I found the house to be nice and warm without being overly...

Warm house with interesting art work and extremely warm welcome from hosts, Edda and Runar. Extremely comfortable bed and room; great shower (with geothermal hot water!); tasty breakfasts with wide range of items offered including home baked breads (Edda is a fantastic cook). Centrally located with great restaurants within easy walking distance (many thanks to Runar who gave us invaluable...

It's close to the center of Reykjavik without being so close you get all the noise. In fact, it's right across the street from the famous church, Hallgrimskirkja. Within walking distance all the great restaurants, budget and high-end. The hostess, Edda, is so nice! And so caring. You feel like family when you stay with her. She ensures everyone has...

Very welcoming and cozy guesthouse! Our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious and the hosts and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The location was also optimal. Our stay in the guesthouse added to our great experience in the capital. Edda was very attentive to our needs and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend!
