The room we have was clean and very comfortable. We arrived from the airport around 8:30am and we got our room. The breakfast was great with a good variety of food to choose from. The service was very friendly. The place is a walking distance to downtown where all the good restaurants are located so we did not have to...

Location: The guesthouse is located in a perfect location to explore the city and country. It's right next to one of the city's landmarks, the spectacular Hallgrimskirkja. Sitting on top of a hill, it's visible for miles around and serves as an excellent navigation point. It's also a good pick-up point for shuttles and tours, as every bus and tour...

on a recent visit to Iceland we stayed at three guest houses--all were good but Eric the Red stood out-its location, facilities and amenities were great--but the difference was the hosts--they are the spirit or soul of the guesthouse--we realize that it is their business but it is also apparent that it is their passion

The location is good, close to the city centre (10 min walk), quiet, almost next to the gorgious church and they have a sweet cat. The breakfast was good and when we had to leave early, the hostess made a package for on the road. We liked all sitting at one table with breakfast, but some may not. I'm not...

We booked a room for two ( mum and teenage son). The owner was very helpful, we were able to wash a whole bag of clothes as the luggage had had a leak during the flight. Thank you- what a bonus this was. I like a small guest house sometimes as you get a personal welcome and it's easier to...

Nice friendly gasthaus in peaceful location in city center of Reykjavik. Smal, clean and very hospitality. Our room was in a ground floor with an own entrance. The room was quite Nice but after duch there was a lot moisture. There is actually no ventilation , onko window. The best thing was very good breakfast: porridge, different breads, cheese and...

We have not even been to this property and already I have gotten such wonderful customer service that I decided to rate them before we stay there in November. Ambivalent about where to travel via car during the off season of November, I turned to our gracious host, Edda. Although very busy running this guesthouse (which includes I believe, cooking...

I stayed for two nights in a single room on the second floor, overlooking the garden. The room may have been small by "American-hotel standards," but it had everything I needed and more -- a small closet and a set of hooks on the wall where I could hang my things; a clean, comfortable bed with a duvet; a bedside...

A fine guesthouse in an unbeatable location in downtown Reykjavik with easy parking options all around. The hosts are very accommodating and kind, especially to guests arriving early at the airport, and they made the stay pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was nicely prepared and well equipped; the porridge was particularly satisfying, as was the homemade bread. The room itself...
