The bus from the airport dropped me off at the door. Checkin was fast and easy, my bed was neat and clean, the room was bright and spacious with a spacious, clean bathroom and there was even breakfast ready early so I could get my coffee and a nice sandwich and juice before going to the Blue Lagoon first thing...

The hostel is pretty great for the price you pay. I stayed in one of the larger rooms, and at first I dreaded the prospect of sharing a room with 9 other people. However, my stay was anything but dreadful. The staff is kind, courteous, and above all, helpful in terms of making your stay in Iceland memorable and fun;...

Hostel worked out great. We had a private bedroom with a shared bathroom. At no point was there any contention over the bathroom, over the course of the week we saw one other person, even though we know the other 4 rooms we were sharing the bathroom with were full. Only complaint was someone had been smoking in our room...

The whole staff is amazing, especially manager Thomas, and long term staffer, Steinunn,Nora, Arron and Lydia. There is no better in all of Iceland. I have stayed in 10 hostels in Iceland during my 3 visits and this is the best. They really care and it shows. They handle all you tour bookings like a 5 Star Hotel Concierge and...

The hostel was perfect for our stay. Extremely close to the centre and the harbour for our whale watching trip. 24 hours check in which was great for us. The room was clean and tidy. No complaints! Would stay again

I'm a big fan of this hostel. It is clean and bright, with helpful staff. I have been there twice and definitely would return. The location is not as close to Laugavegur as some might expect, but I find the walk through the west side of the downtown pleasant.

This is a great hostel that really cares about the environment. Bathrooms have eco-friendly tissue paper. Wifi works great. Kitchen is clean and offers leftover food that was donated by previous guests who did not wish to help out future guests. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to my friends - and I already have!

This was a great place to stay, within walking distance of all shops, restaurants to downtown. Breakfast was okay but cheaper and more convenient than eating out. There is also a kitchen in a separate building if you want to cook your own meals.

We stayed at the Reykjavik Downtown Hostel our first and last nights in Iceland, and found it friendly, clean, pleasant, and conveniently located. The price was reasonable for Iceland. There is a nice detached kitchen, and coffee and snacks are available in the lounge.

I stayed here for a week. It is the first time I stayed in a hostel and I am very happy with my choice. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom in the room has the most amazing shower. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It even has a kitchen and a cozy sitting room for the guests. The...
