Very clean and comfortable, with amazing beds and blackout curtains (which were key during 23 hour days!) Loved this place: the front desk staff (especially Orri) really went above and beyond, helping us plan our days. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms are not fancy, but functional. I LOVED the location, too. Located on a very quiet street, but just a...

This is an older hotel in the city center with a very efficient staff. They get the job done but not usually with a smile. The rooms are VERY small. The facilities are elegant but a bit dated. Breakfast was very good although all six days there, it was exactly the same. There is a small parking lot for residents...

We were sent to this hotel by Iceland Air after they were very late from London and we missed our connection. They paid for the room, so I don't know about the cost. Our room was lovely, with a nice view. But the really great thing was the restaurant. The food, though quite expensive, was absolutely wonderful! And all of...

This is a beautiful hotel very close to the main streets and shops in Reykavik. It is clean, staff are very helpful and the breakfasts are superb. The only reason it's not been given 5 stars is that the rooms are small and with luggage and camera gear it was a squeeze. This hotel has character and charm and a lovely...

Nice room, incredibly helpful and friendly staff and a location that puts you two minutes from the city centre - what's not to love! Add in the quirky art on every floor and the sense of history from one of Reykjavik's oldest hotels from the wood panelled walls and various period pieces scattered throughout, and you're in for a treat....

We try to stay here when in Reykjavik. It has great character and the staff are very helpful. The art works, including in the rooms, add to the experience. Also has an excellent restaurant, Gallery. The rooms facing the back are quieter than the front rooms.

It was a remarkable stay! The hotel has a remarkable staff. I arrived early in the morning, but check-in wasn't until later in the day; however, they were able to place me in a room. Throughout the stay, they were extremely courteous and helpful. I recommend this hotel and see why it won the trip advisor hotel award.

Convenient location to walk for sightseeing. Orri, who was often at the front desk mapped out all the places of interest to see. Thank You Orri !! He also made reservations for us as needed in a local restaurant outside of the hotel. The dinner in the hotel's restaurant was SUPERB !!! The breakfast were wonderful !! Our daughter and...

H - fairly well located but has absolutely no atmosphere. earlier description sums it up "Quirky" ! Junior Suite, OK for open hanging space but not one drawer anywhere in room/s so unable to unpack suitcase. Bartender responding to my request "what's a Sauvignon Blanc, please" !! Breakfast, main seating table of eight though one x six available. Last day...

We were booked in here for a business trip so I cannot comment on value for money. However, the staff were very friendly and the hotel really felt different and not like the normal chain. I am told that it used to be the only place in Reykjavik with a Michelin star and certainly the restaurant was fantastic. Rooms were...
