Hotel about 10-15 min walk from town, very clean, good facilities, comfy bed and friendly helpful staff. There was a great selection of food for breakfast however the hot food was usually tepid. I think the toaster should be repositioned, when waiting for the bread to toast I was in the way of other guests trying to get to the...

My wife treated me to a surprise short trip for my birthday, any ideas I had about Iceland were so wrong, after a short flight yes only 2 hours from Belfast, we were met by our tour guide and before we knew we were in our hotel, the roads in Iceland are very good, combine that with hardly any people...

What a wonderful hotel. The room was spotlessly clean with a little fridge, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. The staff were genuinely friendly and so helpful. Is was our anniversary treat and the congratulated us on our arrival, upgraded our room and gave us free tickets to the spa. What lovely service. The food and drink were very expensive, as...

Considering we booked this hotel for our honeymoon, the staff didn't seem to care too much. Our first room consisted of two single beds pushed together and no wifi. Our next (and final) room was an inside-facing room with limited lighting, a double bed and two single duvets (apparently the hotel don't have any double duvets?!) All in all, the...

On arrival, we were greeted by an enthusiastic, friendly receptionist who checked us in, and congratulated us for our wedding the previous day. I had emailed the hotel before coming. The kind gentleman upgraded us to the penthouse floor and gave us a junior suite which had a private balcony on the top floor overlooking the city of Reykjavik and...

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Reykjavik for 3 nights in November 2016 with our 1 year old. We had a lovely large room on the second floor with a travel cot set up at our request. There was a nice big walk in shower and the bathroom had a heated floor and a good selection of toiletries. There was...

The best thing about staying at the Grand Hotel is the "free" breakfast. The room we stayed in had a damaged floor board that needed to be replaced. The room, otherwise, was nothing spectacular; pillows needed to be changed as they retained previous users hair odor. (Bring your own shampoo and other shower items as this hotel HS the traditional...
