Cabin is the true name. The rooms are so small as if you would travel by an older ship. Walls are very thin, you can hear everything what is going on your floor. Even feel that. The wall behind my head was moving when somebody in the next room laid down. The service was very good. The location is not...

check-in was very quick with no information about the hotel (breakfast times,..), surroundings and the city. Not very helpful and nice, no "hello"/"welcome" etc. Deluxe rooms are nice and mostly clean, but the water in the shower smelt like sulphur :-/. Breakfast: basics were ok, but do not expect a lovely prepared buffet. If you would like to book a...

The hotel was about a 25-30 min walk from the main centre so it was a little far out but it's easy enough to get the bus. The room was absolutely tiny - pretty much just a bed and no space to walk around. It also had a weird printed window which opened into the corridor. The rooms were so...

Just returned from spending 4 nights at The Hotel Cabin. Everything was fine for us. Yes the rooms are a bit small but as you only use it to sleep and shower in, we found our room was very good. Comfy beds brilliant shower and warm. We booked a delux room on the 7th floor after reading other reviews about...

We just had a short break to Iceland to see the Northern lights (which we did not see due to cloud cover). We stayed at the Hotel Cabin in a 'standard' room. Wow!!!, if that is standard then a broom cupboard is premium. It was so small that that you had to walk sideways to get around the bed, there...

Dear kodakcat70, Thank you for taking time and comment on your recent stay with us. We are disappointed to read that your stay in the standard room was not what you expected. The standard rooms are indeed small, but fully equipped. There is some space under the beds where you can put your luggage. You get smaller rooms, but you...

This hotel is not a luxury hotel but is a good place to stay if you plan on spending most of your time exploring the city. The beds are very comfortable. The room is small and so is the bathroom (the shower hard to move around in), but it does the trick if you need a simple place to sleep....

Comfortable place to stay in a very good location. It is on the edge of the city centre in the business district but within 20 minutes steady walk into the very centre of Reykjavik. If you're lucky enough to be in a room at the front of the hotel you can get a view of the bay but even if...

Dear GraemeT87, Thank you for your review and for your stay. Thank you for kind comments regarding the effort from the staff - they are indeed appreciated. Great to know you liked the comfy beds. The beds are two single beds pushed together. Regarding the pillows, we are sorry if they did not meet your standards - please ask the...

It was a very basic room with very comfortable beds and bathroom. It was very very clean. Most importantly it is on all tour pick ups and drop offs. About a 35 minute walk into the centre. Continental breakfast - but get there early as once it runs out its gone! I never saw one pastry in three days but...

IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS! this is a clean hotel, close to the city center that offers a basic breakfast at a low price! for travellers looking for somewhere just to sleep and cram breakfast before a day of sight seeing then this ideal. If you want something with a huge buffet or more amenities then you will have to pay...
