We have just come back from Iceland having stayed in the hotel for 3 nights (within the last week). The holiday was booked through IcelandAir months ago and I was mildly apprehensive after reading many mixed reviews. During our visit there was a big group for 2 of the nights (we saw them check in) and a couple of school...

We spent one night in Hotel Cabin before travelling round Iceland. I was prepared for it to be basic as it is a budget choice but overall our room was fine being a reasonable size, and we were lucky to have a view out over the sea. The bathroom was fine but although there was shower gel and shampoo there...

Well, if you search not an expensive hotel in Reykjavik, this option can fit you. 20 minutes walking from city center in quite area. But do not take the rooms without a window because the view is the only thing we liked in Cabin Hotel. Anyway, all rooms are very small. But we slept very well. They could also make...

We had a deluxe double room and it was large, clean and spacious (akin to a Premier Inn in the UK) and an amazingly strong shower! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with an on site tourist information desk and souvenir shop. They also offer a free printing facility for travel documents etc. Excellent location next to a bus...

An Icelandic gentleman on the plane described this hotel like a cabin as the word suggests. I was dreading it when I checked in but was pleasantly surprised that the room wasn't bad at all. The bed was comfortable, room and bedding very clean, flat screen tv playing english tv channels, nice shower (the hot water did not smell, as...

We went to Iceland in Sep 2014 and booked a package through Iceland Air which included flights, hotel and Blue Lagoon. We enjoyed the flight experience as the service good, served complimentary hot and soft drinks, you can buy food on board but we ate at London airport. Arrived on time in Reykjavik and took our transfer bus just outside...

Stayed in the economy room which was very small (there was no extraction in the bathroom and there was only a small handwash sized sink), we also had a fake 'window' in out room which was an illuminated picture that could not be switched off and the curtain did not cover it fully so it was still bright at night....

This is the third time I have stayed here. Things have changed. The top floor breakfast room with a great view has been moved to the first floor with not much choice of food. There is a nice bar area, but a bit pricey. Outside the cigarette stub bins are filled and not emptied. There are bird droppings on the...

Well worth booking superior room. Excellent shower/ensuite, clean comfortable room, super views from 7th floor (when clouds lift !). Staff very helpful, reception 'open all hours' - only downside lack of culinary variety.

We were very apprehensive about this hotel after reading the reviews on here, we had booked a standard room, but it was all we could afford, we were delighted when we got there and the room was a deluxe room, with a double bed and a single bed, a view of the mountains, a fridge, 3 english tv channels and...
