My friend and I are very happy with our stay at this hostel. We've stayed in a 6-person dorm that was pretty quiet. The beds were in a very good condition, so was the bedding. The shower facilities were okay, the water is very hot. There is a spacious kitchen and lots of comfortable common areas downstairs. The breakfast was...

Had a booking for 2 nights, then left and came back the day after. When I came back they had booked my place to someone else. Mistake that can happen any day. But the attitude of the staff and especially the manager was very rude and offencive. Did not Have any interest in helping me finding another place and threatened...

Having never been to a hostel before my husband and I where pleasantly surprised by this one- it was better than some hotels we have been to. The reception communal areas where always very welcoming clean and had a great vibe. The ladies at reception where also very helpful they had a lot of local knowledge and where great at...

We made the mistake of hiring a camper van in the depths of winter, we stayed at the City Hostel the first night and then got snowed in for 5 nights (it was a freak snow storm, worst in 80 years, it's not usually that bad). The hostel provided a haven for us with great self catering facilities, a warm...

The hostel is very clean, breakfast was delicious, nice spacious common areas. Our room was a twin which was basic, clean and comfortable. We had an accessible room, maybe the others were full but all the bathroom floor would be soaking wet after showering because of the accessible layout. The hostel is a bit of a walk to the main...

Our room was very clean, the staff were helpful, and the hostel had good bathroom and kitchen facilities. Although the hostel is quite far out from the centre of the city, Reykjavik has very good transport links - you can easily get a bus into town from the stop across the road, and our tour bus + airport transfer bus...

We stayed here the final night of our trip to Iceland, before heading to the airport the following morning. We had stayed in Reykjavik the first two nights of our trip as well, in a hostel MUCH closer to the city center and activities. Although this is a fantastic hostel with beautiful, clean, modern and affordable accommodations, it's not within...

This hostel is a nice place to stay, clean and well furnished for reasonable prices considering it's in Iceland. Although a little outside of town, Reykjavik is so small it doesn't really matter, and the setting next to the stadium and swimming pool is pleasant. However the staff here are surly, cold and on occasion, down right rude. Overall I...

Overall a great hostel if you're looking for somewhere cheaper to stay whilst in Reykjavik. we stayed in a private double, ensuite room. The bed and linen were clean and extremely comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean and the heating was always on so the room was also cosy which was much appreciated in January! The main gripe is...

Thought it would be fun for the kids to experience hostelling and as this was right next door to the outdoor pool we frequent (daily) when we're Reykjavik I booked a private room for four with private bathroom. Surly reception lady. No welcome, no orientation, she just said "booking" Not enough sheets, duvets and pillow cases but thankfully she provided...
