This is a budget hotel - the room is very basic. Very. The breakfast was basic and served quite early in the am (til 930). Besides that the location and view of the church is great. It was fine for our stay but we will probably look for something else next time.

We try and keep our property in the affordable, quality, mid-scale range of accommodations in Reykjavik....and the location is definitely one of our most popular selling points! We visited Iceland recently for my wife's birthday and the hotel was recommended to us by Co-op travel agents, King St, in Nottingham. We were told it was basic but clean and welcoming which was a spot-on recommendation. The staff were brillant and nothing was too much trouble and the room was basic but very clean and very warm. The...

My husband and I stayed here 7 nights in May. The hotel is in a great location. You can easily walk to the main high street in only a few minutes. The staff were very pleasant and the rooms were decently sized, although basic. We had a room on the upper floor (there's no lift - be prepared!) and the...

We used Hotel Leifur Eiriksson before and after driving the ring road (3 nights total). After reading all the reviews we made sure to ask for the second floor (so as not to get the sloped ceiling on the upper floors). Both times we were above the reception area on the second floor and were happy enough. Really nothing overly...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We we're able to check in around 1am with no trouble. We enjoyed the free breakfast each morning and really enjoyed the free coffee all day. The room was basic, but all you need. We did have a great view of the church. The best part is the location. Easy walk...

Went there on a business trip and it's not the best place when your in a suit. But the atmosphere was good and I would stay there if I'm going on a private holiday. The breakfast was okay and the cleaning was outstanding. My room had a view to the church and the hotel is very close to the centre

Hotel was very good. Nice people working there. Great location. Room was small and basic, but clean, sufficient, and convenient. Located directly across the street from the big church, and only a few blocks away from the main shopping street.

We'd recommend this hotel. It's well located with an easy walk to the shops/restaurants and as others have said next to the Church so you can't miss it. The hotel is very clean, the staff polite, helpful and friendly. We loved the waffle maker at breakfast. Our only gripe (as others have said) is that thicker/longer and darker curtains would...

Visited last week, everything we needed for a base for our city break in Reykjavik. Clean & comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful. It's ideally located near Hallgrimskja church so easy to find if you get lost easily (although Reykjavik isn't vast and built on a grid system, so even I found it simple to navigate). The only issue...

If you enjoy wandering a new city as I do then this hotel's location is perfect. Being across the street from the tallest building in Iceland, Hallgrimskirkja Cathedral, I could confidently lose myself exploring the city. Once I felt it was time to head back to the hotel I could just look up to the skyline, see the tall cathedral...
