Comfortable room, small but adequate bathroom, very helpful staff. Good breakfast included in price. Happy Hour between 5 and 7pm, which helps combat the ridiculous prices in Iceland. No restaurant, but they serve soup and bread and butter in the bar in the evening. Two soups, two beers and a small glass of wine: £25. If you want to eat...

We stayed at this hotel in April 2017 and are a young couple. Upon arrival we asked for a high floor room with an ocean view after reading previous comments. This is exactly what we got. Room 512 was perfect. The breakfast is basic, I wouldn't say its a full English but its everything that you could need to start...

Went to Iceland in February for a long girls weekend with my best friend. This was a great hotel for our 5 day trip. We took a red eye and arrived in time for breakfast. This was key to our trip. Food is super expensive everywhere in Iceland ($14 for a bottle of beer, $12 for a premade sandwich at...

I was originally going to book the main Foss Hotel, but I am glad we chose this one as it cost less, leaving more money for the tours etc. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. A great base for the town, and the harbour walk is right in front of the hotel. There is a great breakfast to...

Centrally located, mid range hotel. Rooms are a little dated but it is clean and the breakfast is delicious with a good spread. Sufficiently comfortable. The lift is rather small and can only take a few people and very limited luggage at a time, so if you are there with a group, it will be wise to move your luggage...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to Iceland. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Reykjavik, and is near the sea front which makes for a nice view. The rooms are small/medium size with TV, en suite shower, coffee/tea. The double bed was really comfy. The room was cleaned...

We booked this hotel with Gate 1 travel package. When we checked in, we were so tired we stayed in the room for first night. It was so small we could not store our two suitcases. Also the windows were skylights over bed and you could not see outside. You had to climb on top of bed to open window...

Dear Zara,

As mentioned in the answers here above, it is much more convenient and price friendly to buy the round trip with bus tickets and access to the blue lagoon in one package. The blue lagoon is located close to the airport, so if you are planning to go directly to the blue lagoon you might want to look into going there directly from the airport instead of making your way to the hotel first. They offer special aiport packages where the flybus will take you to the blue lagoon first and then to the hotel.

We look forward to welcoming you at Fosshotel Baron.

Best regards,

Eva

Dear GreekBouflets,

The best way if you are not hiring a rental car during your stay, is to take the airport shuttle, it takes about 40-50 minutes.

I am not allowed to paste a link to the websites but you can google "flybus Reykjavik" and "grayline airport shuttle" and you will find two of the biggest companies in Iceland that offer this service.
