This hotel is well situated - we could just see Sun Voyager from our window! We had a triple room which was a good size and very comfortable. The room was the best of the 3 hotels we stayed in during our stay in Iceland. The bathroom was also a good size and the rain shower was LOVELY! Breakfast was...

A city hotel which needs to review the breakfast room which is woefully small for the numbers of guests trying to eat before going on day trips or leaving. The choice of food was good, but sometimes items such as croissants were not replaced , this at 7.30 am! The rooms are comfortable , with plenty of space, extra pillows...

Really liked this hotel, staff were always friendly and polite. The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard. Buffet breakfast daily, lots to choose from, especially liked the waffle maker. Location wise just a short walk to the centre and harbour.

Let's remind some reviewers that this is not a 5 star hotel and certainly not Icelandic 5 star hotel prices. We had a room on 5th floor with a lovely view over the sea, we did pay a little extra for this, remember you get what you pay for. I must admit my first impressions weren't the best and being...

This hotel was a great place to stay. The staff were excellent and the rooms were clean. Very central to the main street for shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was plentiful and a huge choice. Always topped up. Staff were always on hand to help if you needed anything. You can cook your own waffles. Scrambled eggs, frankfurter sausages if you...

We had a 4 night stay here, myself and daughter, mother in law and aunt, in 2 twin rooms on the 5th floor. Comfortable rooms which were basic but clean with tea making but no fridge. The staff were always happy to provide ice when we wanted it. We loved the choice at breakfast each day, both hot and cold...

A good location for exploring Reykjavik, near to the seafront and easy walking distances to many of the city highlights. Good heating, lots of hot water, comfortable beds and a good selection for breakfast. Good reception staff, especially the "Icelandic redhead"! Hotel itself probably needs a bit of a facelift, but didn't detract from our stay. The only negative was...

Rooms were clean and comfortable, although the bathroom is small and the TV didn't work. Ask for a sea-view and you can get by without the TV because the views from the fifth floor are fantastic. Wifi is good in the room but less so in the public areas. Typically expect the smell of sulphur when taking a hot shower....

At the time of our arrival we were tired and a little confused for you know the driving, jet lag and traffic signs but...the staff were super helpful and friendly, let us check in early and OH My the room was increible! Great view, comfortable bed and a very, very clean bathroom. The breakfast were amazing, delicious and plenty of...

We chose the Fosshotel Baron for an overnight stop due to its proximity to the town centre and the waterfront. As it turned out, the rain meant sightseeing along the waterfront was out due to poor light and conditions. But we were glad for its location close to many restaurants. The room was clean, but you can see it was...
