We visited Reykjavik for a weekend arriving Friday and departing Monday. After arriving off the Flybus we were checked in and allocated room 507. The room was ok but unfortunately overlooked the car park at the back so not a great view. ( especially with the building work happening opposite) We booked a double room which was basically a twin...

A great Hotel with a superb buffet breakfast to start you on your day. bar was a bit pricey but the soup served in the evenings was delicious. Booked through booking.com and please note that I wish I had paid the full price on booking as the price just went up and by the time the hotel gave us an...

Some reviews have me baffled, this hotel is officially 3 star and a damn good one at that, we asked for a sea view room which had fantastic views over the bay and mountains, it was a very good size, kettle, tea, coffee etc provided, really good adjustable heating and opening windows. Yes the hot water does smell of sulphur but...

Average hotel for our stay in Reykjavik. We stayed 2 nights at the Foss Baron for our tour. Extremely small rooms, there was not enough room for 2 suitcases to be opened at the same time. Small bathroom & using the hot water quickly made the bathroom smell of sulphur due to the geothermal water heating. The bed was comfortable...

Great place to visit for sightseeing, plenty of nightlife, City is very clean & natives friendly. Rooms in Hotel Baron very small but cleaned & fresh linen daily. Hot water smells of sulphur but does no harm. Small bar/breakfast room. Loads of continental food only 4 hot options. BE WARNED Prices for everything is 3 to 4 times dearer than...

I made a reservation for this hotel on Expedia. I paid about $200 per night inclusive of taxes. The hotel is close to the bay area and very short walk to the city center and main streets as well as the Viking Ship sculpture. There is a convenience store on the back of the block where the hotel is located,...

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel last weekend. From reading various reviews on tripadvisor my expectations were fairly low. Upon arrival we were quickly checked in by a very friendly and professional receptionist. We were given room 206. This room is great for families (sleeps 6). It has a double room, a room with 2 bunk beds (4...

We stayed here for a rainy four days in January, the hotel is nice, clean, warm the staff are lovely and reception were brilliant about sorting our cancelled excursions and rebooking. Breakfast was great and the staff worked hard to keep it re stocked. The waffle machine made breakfast amazing. Luggage storage was an absolute bonus. Close to everything.

We are currently staying at the Fosshotel Baron and have a fab view; we are on the top floor (level5) at the front of the hotel overlooking the bay/harbour. Hotel is well situated a short walk from the Main Street of shops, cafes and restaurants. It is clean and the reception staff are helpful and friendly. The rep is here...

We had a great view of the sea and the mountains on the other side of the bay. The location is good with many restaurants nearby, and easy walking distance of the old harbour, the cathedral etc The room was clean and very adequate without being plush, but was very good value. The breakfast is great and the staff were...
